So:

I believe there is already a thread tackling how much of a mess Quantum Manipulation as a power is in general, so we can ignore that bit. What I want to focus on is the general principle behind giving out the abllity and those associated in the verse. To wit:

Magic user does X
X is described as a paranormal phenomenon
Random monsters are stated to cause paranormal phenomena
Therefore even random monsters can do X

Yeah, I don't believe I need to elaborate much on the massive leap being done here. Just because X is in category Y, and random monsters can do stuff that's also in category Y, doesn't mean random monsters can do X. So, yeah, yeet.

Oh, I forgot to mention: For some reason, we treat these abilities as being applicable as methods of offense, hence the Belmonts and every Creature of the Night are currently listed as resisting them by virtue of resisting magic. A quick look at the scans should tell you this stuff really isn't combat-applicable, so, yeah.

Opening four threads over small matters instead of one that could tackle all these issues would be faster, easier, and more logical. This issues doesn't even seem that big to begin with, unlike the others. Regardless, I guess it does lack a bit but that's all I could say, I agree.

Man, you really woke up one day and chose violence against Castlevania, huh?

This seems ok but I'll wait to see what Glass has to say.

OP makes sense but I'll wait just in case the supporters can provide scans of Creatures of Chaos using Magic, Quantum Manipulation and Spatial Manipulation.
Quantum Manipulation may be harder due to standards being changed right as we're speaking right now

if we are using this logic then shouldn't a lot of the abilities in the page be gone?? not just those 5 abilities you pointed out

@Ultima_Reality The quantum manipulation thread discussion is mostly just on the redundancy on having Quantum manipulation be a separate page and being so bare bones while we have matter hax side of quantum manipulation be more in depth by comparison.

I’ll respond to the other points soon, got an exam to get ready for.

Chaos Manipulation standards are also being overhauled altogether lol. It's in implementation approval limbo atm.

Edit: CRT looks fine

Eh? That sounds like a characteristic of magic to have such capabilities. I don't see the issue here, personally speaking. But I'll follow it for now given Glass knows the verse very well soo his words should be taken into consideration before we actually conclude this matter.

Agree with everything.

Quantum Manipulation was approved for getting deleted altogether, it's just that there's only 1 volunteer removing it from pages. The only thing to decide is if QM can be indexed as something else. Otherwise, anyone could delete it whenever they wanted.

Agreed on Dimensional Travel and Immersion, there's really just no basis for assuming literally anyone can do what Charlotte can do, and even for Charlotte it should be specified that this is a very specific circumstance. The situation with the painting acting as a wall for Dracula's magic doesn't mean Charlotte can just dimensional travel at will or do immersion stuff at will.

Agreed on "Paranormal Phenomenon." The fact that some specific monsters are associated with "Poltergheist Phenomenon" (taking for granted that this is the same thing as 'paranormal' phenomenon) there's no reason to assume that all things that are paranormal can do everything that any other paranormal being can do.

Finally back from my exams (for the time being), so lets get around to this.

Yeah so Charlotte's not the only one who can do Dimensional Travel, Spatial manipulation and Immersion, the Lecarde sisters literally do the same thing, same with Eric given they canonically enter Brauner's portraits through their magic and their campaign is literally a prequel to the base story when this story ends with the sisters being bitten by Brauner, also Charlotte describes it as aligning her magic with the painting in order to do so, she's just manipulating the magic with the spatial barrier in order to pull off this trick. Death also does the same thing when he is able to get inside Brauner's paintings to kill him. On top of that, numerous creatures of chaos that are inside grimoire worlds are able to leave these to enter the real world in the story of GoS. Alucard can do the same after understanding the basics of doing so, and Death does just that numerous times in the game given he's the main antagonist, so this being only a Charlotte thing is just not true, plus this goes even to other random monsters given they can get out of the grimoire world and materialize back into reality.

I will say this, apparently the original japanese doesn't actually mention the word quantum when describing the barriers that is the portraits, just that they're spatial multi-layered wards based on magical mechanics.

私が見た感じ、この絵は呪法強化理論に基づく、擬似空間的多層結界ね。

魔法力学的に言うと…。

Charlotte.
As I see it, this picture is a pseudo-spatial multi-layered ward based on the spell-enforcement theory.
Charlotte.
In terms of magical mechanics....

So Quantum hax can go since it's mostly a localization thing, don't really care for it.
