He defeated Demigra who could destroy the multiverse and change infinite timelines across the history. Demigra has more destructive power than Chaos who affected only the present and the future in the manga. So Goku could resist at least some of Chaos´s haxs and attack her with a powerful kamehameha before she uses course manipulation for example
