Worst Users Of Every Power

Pokémon with Follow Me (Lucario for example) for Social Influencing. Literally all it does is make the opponent attack the user. This is useless outside of group fights.
Wouldn't a species be disqualified if they have other stuff through Social Influencing?

Also, is it SI?

Newest official description of the move in the mainline games:
The user draws attention to itself, making all opposing Pokémon take aim only at the user.

Yeah it’s social influencing.

I feel like if follow me counts as SI so do moves like growl and whatever, which are actually decent even in a 1v1.

I would assume Empathic Manipulation.

Also, just in case, reminder that the Pokemon move Growl is not really the thing an angry dog does:

"The user growls in an endearing way, making opposing Pokémon less wary. This lowers their Attack stats."

I mean it seems like uses it to attack and has a decent degree of control over it. As a side note that profile definitely needs a few more scans. Like as someone who doesn't know the game I have zero way to understand what "can fire particles of polarity" really entails beyond going and looking up a walkthrough. He's also missing SPC

Yeah that's pretty hard to top. Dunno if worse or better than the Punished but them also having mildly useful Summoning makes me think she should be on the list over them.

I'm not sure how bad these immortality abilities can get, but I'm nominating Blades in Xenoblade for Type 4 Immortality because it's entirely dependent on a Driver resonating with their Core Crystal - meaning if no one resonates with them, they just can't come back. This is also just completely inapplicable to a VS match, not to mention that Blades that come back via this method have absolutely no memories of their previous life

i guess that works when we get another submitted

  • Empathic Manipulation
Who has Empathic Manipulation?

(Also, I wonder if potential candidates -If they had profiles- would be
Those who've consumed defective Smile Fruits, as, IIRC, these not only make the affected unable to swim & weakened by Sea Prism, but also they lose their ability to express emotion other than smiling & laughter; Even when sad, angry or otherwise, they can only smile & laugh.

Also, if not for Xavier or the Hunter Slugcat, I wonder about Hold'em Up Boldema from One Piece, since IIRC, his lion from his Artificial "Smile" Devil Fruit is just a lion's head & forelegs on his stomach, with said lion having its own mind, hating him, & IIRC, often attempting to steal his food, & attack him in his lower bodily areas, despite that it & he share pain. But it's also helped like by holding foes in its jaws or shooting fireballs, IIRC.
Presumably for Animal Manipulation &/or Multiple Selves, but yeah.

  • Fragrance Manipulation - The Accused (FLEAUX!) - Can make a target smell of manure until next dawn. This has basically no use and there's a decent bit of danger involved in casting Sorceries at all given it can make casting future spells harder and eventually cause Chaos Revenge.

If it had a key on the page for the species it's from the evolutionary line of -Seriously, where's the rest of the evolutionary stages?!-, I'd nominate Bounsweet for Fragrance Manipulation.

SunA delectable aroma pours from its body. They are often swallowed whole by Toucannon lured by that wafting deliciousness.
MoonAlthough it's too sugary for human consumption, Bounsweet's sweat can be watered down into a juice with just the right amount of sweetness.
Ultra SunBecause of its sweet, delicious aroma, bird Pokémon are always after it, but it's not intelligent enough to care.
Ultra MoonIt tries to resist being swallowed by a bird Pokémon by spinning the sepals on its head. It's usually a fruitless attempt.
SwordIts body gives off a sweet, fruity scent that is extremely appetizing to bird Pokémon.
ShieldWhen under attack, it secretes a sweet and delicious sweat. The scent only calls more enemies to it.
ScarletIts sweat is sweet, like syrup made from boiled-down fruit. Because of this, Bounsweet was highly valued in the past, when sweeteners were scarce.
VioletA Greedent drawn in by the sweet scent of these Pokémon will tuck the Bounsweet in among the berries in its tail and carry them all away.

Put briefly, Bounsweet's sweet fragrance has lead it to be valued by humans for making juice -It's too sugary unless watered down, though- & in the past, for otherwise rare sweeteners. In practice, it makes Bounsweet smell delicious, which results in it being swalled whole by Toucannon, attracting bird Pokemon (Which it will likely have a type disadvantage against.), & getting mistaken for another Berry by Greedent, which will as such, tuck Bounsweet into its tail.

Bounsweet is noted to not be intelligent enough to care that its aroma makes bird Pokemon go after it.

Bounsweet also uses said Fragrance Manipulation when under attack... which calls more enemies to it.

Incompetent usage can help one qualify for this, no?

To its credit, Bounsweet can also learn Sweet Scent (Useful for initiating wild Pokemon battles in gameplay, but seems to be the problem in lore. In battle, lowers Evasion of all opponents, but not allies, by 1 stage.) & by Egg Move, Aromatic Mist, which raises Sp. Def by 1 stage... for one target ALLY of Bounsweet's, & only that ally.
No, it cannot learn Aromatherapy. Somehow.

It's very weird that it doesn't have a key. Not sure I can put it on the list without one, but it'd definitely qualify
