So several years ago I bragged about my superhuman reflexes. This was maybe during high school. Was walking home one day, and a bee was flying really fast. Like I never seen a bee move that quickly. It flew directly towards my face. I wanna say it was only a couple inches away from my face, before I dodged. I remember this vividly. It was literally zooming and despite that reacted to it a couple inches away.
So I'ma assume some distances and speeds.
Apparently a honeybee can go at like 20mph. 8.9408 m/s. I did say it was going really fast so that will be saved for a high ball. Middle ground is like 5-10 mph. So 2.2352 and 4.4704 meters per second. I'm gunna also try a super low ball to see what that value is. Bee was moving at 1 mph so 0.44704 m/s
A couple inches away from my face, realistically it was probably 5-7 inches away but possibly 2-3. I remember vaguely it damn near touching me before I moved my head out the way. Not saying it wanted to touch me, both me and the bee probably moved away. I'ma try all these values.

0.1778/0.44704 = 390 milliseconds Slower than average at my worst assumption
.127/0.44794 = 284 milliseconds Still slow af.
0.0762 / 0.44704 = 170 milliseconds.
0.0508 / 0.44704 = 113 milliseconds.
So the feat that doesn't make sense has a above average human reaction time.

Conclusion. Considering I have had bees fly by my face plenty of times, I can tell the difference when it's going fast or not. This one was flying a lot faster than usual. Like it was in a hurry to get somewhere. So it's safer to use 5-10 mph for it's speed. Tho it felt more like 15 if I'm being honest. Despite that, I was able to perceive it a couple inches away and dodged. So I'm gunna go with, the bee was going 10 mph, and it was 5 inches away from my face. Again it felt more like it was going a good 15.
