since walter gets prep within his verse this means he would have to be the one on earth, meanwhile among us starts exactly five light years away from earth which is literally just empty space, and space has been shown to kill the impostor

both go for point blank shots but i think walter has shown a bit more skill since he outdrew gus’s guards, never missing a shot over the course of the series. among us consistently lands his shots as well, but only on incapacitated targets at a very close range.
crashing into the earth at mftl speeds would almost certainly kill the impostor before it kills walter, meaning waltuh still stomps

The Imposter has prior knowledge so it could shapeshift into a human to fool Walt into thinking it's a normal person.
The Subsonic travel speed isn't exclusive to vents.

that would only work if it shapeshifts before the battle begins. walter will see it as a deformed little astronaut thing at the start of the battle

The Imposter can use its stealth mastery to escape Walters line of sight to shapeshift without him knowing.
The reason Imposters don't move at that speed outside of vents is because it would be very suspicious if a "Crewmate" started moving at subsonic speeds.

doesnt it need to assimilate something in order to do that
also stealth is also gonna be hard to utilize if walter starts using gas or bombs
in the game, if the impostor’s walking speed is increased, it’ll walk faster than the crewmates. it can’t move that fast when no one’s looking either.

Undesground mobility is based on digging speed, the impostor isn't digging here and dosn't have this power at all, It was accept in other impostor fights that the impostor don't normally use that speed in game other them the vents beacuse this would blow It cover (Trough It was before the engenier was added to the game, letting Crewmates also move at that speed in vents... talking about this, the amongus profiles are outdated)

also I imagine we are using not cybernetic Impostor here...
Oh, and impostor should be imune to the gas, sinse he can survive the O2 sabo, meaning It probable don't need to breath
