Verse strength vs political intrigue

What's the strongest verse you know of that has well-written political intrigue? Do you think that as the verse's power increases, the presence of impactful political drama decreases? Berserk is the strongest verse I know of (capping out at at least 8-B, with more intrigue present when it primarily deminstrated 9-A and high-end 9-B) that has impactful political drama, though it gets interwoven more and more with the supernatural as the story goes on.

Metal Gear has some good political intrigue, from capped at city block level to a freaking small town level casualy in present (metal gear revengeance),it definitely impactful to the political drama as the series increase in power, oh and the newest game basically about zombies, RIP Metal Gear.. you will be missed.

Probably Manifold, Doctor Who, Xeelee Sequence, Cultureverse, and POSSIBLY Halo, tho their politics be incompetent at times

Now, I'm not well-versed (pun not intended) in a lot of fictional universes, but that I can think of, probably Morrowind (TES) has decent political intrigue and it's a very powerful verse.

GATE has pretty good politics, and so does Hunter X Hunter.

Halo
Has interesting politics in the expanded universe. Is a decently strong verse among sci-fi. Current civilizations have starships capable of casual 6-C to High 6-C destructive power while the ancient Forerunners and humans had ships which make this thing and even the Death Star seem like a joke in comparison. Both eras boast of super-soldiers with 9-A to 8-B destructive capacity and Supersonic+ or higher reactions.

Star Wars (Legends and Disney)
Both Legends and Disney have some really interesting politics going on (of course I mean outside of the movies) and the overall history is just as fascinating as Halo's. As well known as this verse is, I don't think I need to elaborate on the power.
