Limbos exist within an entirely separate dimension which only those with Interdimensional sensory capabilities can actually visually see and sense. Meliodas doesn't have those capabilities, so he isn't seeing or sensing the limbos. As Meliodas doesn't constantly move around like he's the Flash or something, there will be chances for Madara to hit him when he's least expecting it. Madara can also just use distractions such as Chibaku Tensei or TSO's to grab Meliodas's attention and than just bully him with the limbos.
