Transformers General Discussion

In case ya'll haven't heard. Image Comics has gotten the license to Transformers and it will be appearing in a new comic called Void Rivals featuring Skyfire. They got his characterization on point.

The main transformers run is coming out in October and will be drawn and written by Daniel Warren Johnson. His Transformers art is great and I heard his writing is pretty good.

It's also apparently gonna be called the "Energon universe". Which is... weird but aight ig.

I don't follow comic trash, bruh. Last I heard of anything, the OG continuity was being ended by Unicron in 2019.

Yes, but have you considered

Random thought of the day: imagine if we got a Liokaiser/Breast Force-focused movie, and it was called Rise of the Breasts.

Anyway a more serious summation (all spoilered):
-Mirage should've really been called Smokescreen, I mean his personality is literally the same minus a bit more swearing and crude humor. Could've even kept the whole hologram gimmick, the name works for it
-Stratosphere is literally the best character in all of Transformers and I am absolutely 100% serious
-Scourge is a pretty weird choice I thought (personally would've gone for Cyclonus if we're saving Megatron/Galvatron) but still good to see
-I actually like these designs for the Maximals way more than their more iconic ones. No offense to Beast Wars fans but the original Maximal designs are absolute shit personally speaking, with a few exceptions
-Noah is actually pretty cool
-Unicron voice was pretty weak though. Who the **** did they get to voice him?
-Is it just me or did anyone else find Prime's line delivery a bit...weird, at times?
-Lotta meat for lore people here, very appreciated

Overall I liked it a lot. Definitely the best live action TF movie (though that isn't a high bar). Also, my genuine reaction when BEE FINALLY GETS HIS STUPID ******* FACE SMASHED IN:

Also I really cannot comprehend how TFwiki still lists these guys within the same pages as the other movie version.

Like, if EVERY OTHER THING that's different wasn't proof enough that this is a distinct universe, Unicron in this one is back to being the planet eater, not just chained inside Earth.

They’re doing that because it still falls under the category of “movie”, it’s like how they list stuff like Dreamwave, the Prime Wars Trilogy, IDW, etc all in the G1 pages even though they’re distinctly different continuities.

But yeah, I’m not sure why they’re so adamantly against the idea of it being a full reboot when it clearly is.

Those versions still get their own dedicated subpages though.

Dude, I don't want unicron to drop from 1b, I even want it to come out more, 1a is my dream right now.
i dont post here much, but I have found some more information since i posted that CRT thread years ago (the one 1b came from) that supports some higher interpretations. No time to really put it all together right now though, and I haven't had a chance to finish reading all the material I want to yet. I still have yet to fully get vsb's system in general so I don't post here much.

Also saw ROTB and it's fun, good middle ground for Bay and non Bay stuff. I appreciated some of the deep cuts like Primal inadvertently quoting Ramjet in Balancing Act.

Does anyone remember any characters from Transformers Animated calling all Earth-based weaponry weak and/or primitive? I vaguely recall Megatron making such a statement.

That's not really what I'm intending, since calling technology primitive wouldn't make him stronger than said technology.

Also, while he is superior, they aren't unscalable.

Here's my idea.

Omega Sentinels (particularly Omega Supreme, the first official Sentinel) are described as the most powerful Autobot superweapons of mass destruction on Cybertron, both during and following the Great War, as well as the factor that allowed the Autobots to win.

This is a list of the kind of technology and manufacturing capability that Cybertronians (particularly Autobots) have, not even what they're familiar with.

TL;DR they should have almost any non-organic science that Earth has, explicitly including nukes, and that's discounting Swindle's bullshit.
Basically, I think fully operational Omega Supreme > Earth nukes.

Decepticons and such wouldn't be upgraded by his AP, since they get blown apart by his weapons. So their scaling is more of a supporting feat for him.

Speaking of upgrades, we already have feats calced that out Animated in the 7-A ranges.

CRT just hasn't been made yet though.

What are the calculations? I might make a thread when I have the time.
Oldmaster wanted to make a big CRT on it, plus scaling revisions and shit. I'll put here all the stuff we got.

Massively FTL+ flight speed for decepticons: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/U...g_and_Lugnut_travel_halfway_across_the_galaxy

Ratchet has casual Relativistic for reaction and combat speed: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Dark-Carioca/Ratchet_blocks_an_EMP

FTL for reaction and combat speed: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Dark-Carioca/Lockdown_dodges_an_EMP_blast (Might need further evaluation)

Megatron was able to survive a 6-C+ to High 6-C explosion with the possible help of a shield: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/U...Transformers_Animated_-_Decepticon_Durability

Decepticons tank a 7-A explosion: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/U...Transformers_Animated_-_Decepticon_Durability

7-A+: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Dark-Carioca/Bumblebee_survives_an_explosion_(recalc)

Lugnut makes a 7-B to High 7-A crater: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/U...ormers_calcs#More_Transformers_Animated_calcs (The former is more likely as it looks more like Pulv)

Megatron and Omega survive a 7-A explosion: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/U..._few_TF_Animated_calcs#Space_bridge_explosion

Brawl has a Class M feat. Likely scale to the likes of Optimus or high tier decepticons: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/U...imated_calcs#Brawl_throws_a_piece_of_asteroid

Optimus has a casual Class K feat: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/U...d_calcs#Lifting_Strength_for_Low_to_Mid_Tiers

Brawn has a Class K feat: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/U...imated_-_Brawn_lifts_and_throws_a_big_boulder

The low tiers should get Class K while high tiers receive Class M. They should all generally be Relativistic to FTL in reactions and combat speed. Characters should all be upgraded to 7-A. All who scale to Megatron gets At least 7-A. I don't think the 6-C one is usable as Megatron likely had a shield, wasn't near the epicenter, and was very heavily damaged from the explosion.

Seems good.

From what I recall, dodging the EMP is fairly consistent. I'll look into that.

This one is somewhat wrong. Megatron was nearly killed by a standard Shatter Bomb in the first episode, and that's what the clones were armed with. The Decepticons would've been killed by the clones if they didn't leave the warehouse, and explicitly only survived due to their distance from the bombs. The ones in the Lugnut Supremes were much, much larger versions of the same Shatter Bombs that Megatron probably only survived due to residual Allspark energy, which is why I debunked it in the past.

I debunked the Bumblebee one in the past.

I might get the Omega one re-evaluated. It seems shaky.

Brawl was contending with Strika in that same episode, but Bulkhead has grappled with Lugnut before, so Optimus could downscale. The rest is fine.

Eh, the new calc uses Inverse Square law unlike the old one. And Bumblebee wasn't that badly hurt.

Yeah, it's why I said the Tier 6 one is shaky. Megs barely survives it when he was likely under protection and far away anyway.

Ah, I didn't see the recalc part.

Honestly, I don't think it's useable. The nearly human-sized canister was completely out of sight (even human heads are quite visible from the calc's distances), the camera is already moving relative to Bumblebee's position before he threw it, and KLOL says it can't be used.
