Transformers General Discussion

So I watched Rise of the Beasts. I liked a lot! Surprised by how much I enjoyed despite how cynical I was of it months ago. It's a solid 8/10 for me. Here is my short spoiler free review.

Plot is the same format as the usual Bayverse, but simpler and straight to the point. Characters are very good and likeable. Distinguishable from one another. CGI, action and soundtrack are great. Music choice is very 90s inspired. Not as good as Bayverse in the visual department, but still good in its own right. Prime, Primal, Mirage and Scourge are my favorites easily. Noah is my favorite human protag out of all the movies, feels like a good blend between Cade and Sam. The dynamic between robots is really good and fun, they feel like they actually get along with each other.

It's not the most outstanding ever, but good god I enjoyed it.

As for scaling wise, here's the juice. I won't talk much about it as I'll wait for others to see the film, but here's the summary:
Not much in terms of AP, the best stuff are re-entry shit that are kinda iffy. Only a bunch of Tier 8 stuff. The highest thing I could get is re-entry out of Stratosphere, which would yield Low 7-C, but not much beyond that, and that only works as a possibly rating that I'll explain in the future. There is a supernova statement but it scales to no one.

Speed is quite good. There are a lot bullet and missile dodging and Stratosphere flying which will likely get Supersonic to Hypersonic results. Hax is pretty good. A lot of cool stuff from the bots here and there.

Scaling wise, Scourge and Optimus are the top dogs by far. Battletrap, Airrazor and Primal are somewhat below them. The rest are all in the Bumblebee levels and are much lower than the aforementioned characters. The best they can do is stagger the top 5 I just mentioned.

Scourge, Prime, Primal, Battletrap, Airrazor = At least 8-A, possibly Low 7-C

The rest = 8-A

That's what I'm thinking so far. Ratings are probably gonna change one we start properly calcing feats so don't take this as my final word.

Absolutely horrific.
It's really not what you might think it is. Noah is young and unsure of himself like Sam, but he's also mature and willing to take action if needed to protect his family like Cade is. He's actually likeable compared to Sam and Cade and gets along well with the rest of the cast, he's actually competent and he develops to grow a stronger bond with the others, and he even shares engineering skills just like Cade does.

How'd you see it so early?

Just got back from Rise of the Beasts, it was really good. Easily up there with Bumblebee imo, if not better.

Just watched Rise of the Beasts. My current ranking of live action movies would probably now be:

Bumblebee
Rise of the Beasts
Transformers (2007)
Dark of the Moon
Revenge of the Fallen
Age of Extinction
The Last Knight

Also, would Optimus Prime get at least Class K lifting strength for tearing out Scourge's head and spine? Not sure if it'd be possible to calc that specifically, though I could see it potentially getting Class M results.

Wonder if there's gonna be a separate thread for where we discuss the new movie

If it can’t be calced, then At least Class K, yeah

You can make one, if you’d like

Kinda impossible to calc without calc stacking, but yeah, At least Class K

Anyway, current movie ranking for me is:

1. Rise of the Beasts: 8/10
2. Bumblebee: 7/10
3. 1986: 7/10
4. 2007: 6/10
5. Predacons Rising: 6/10
6. DOTM: 5.5/10
7. AOE: 4/10
8. ROTF: 3/10
9. TLK: 3/10

Damn, did they made Prime ruthless just like in Bayverse?

This is what you GET for not appreciating KINOFORMERS LITERALLY 1986.

Reboot Bumblebee currently has an Unknown LS rating, though he does have several noteworthy LS feats in the 2018 movie (Especially if we can assume Shatter and Dropkick weigh as much as their aircraft modes):
Bonus speed feat: Dodges a missile
I was kinda dumb dumb when i made the profiles. He's getting upgraded to like, Class 50 later.

Back from the theatres I've liked it a lot. I gotta say it's the best Transformers movie I've seen in a while after The Last Knight. But even better than that movie if I say so myself.

I didn't spot any feats above 8-B, but eh, who I am kidding anyways. Mirage was pretty funny af though. The movie did have a lot of suspense, and I wasn't really expecting Noah to have an Iron Man-like moment when he merged with Mirage.

Also, I think I found a feat that is prolly faster than Supersonic in the movie at least. Considering where Stratosphere flies from Brooklyn to Peru in a short amount of time

There are like 3 good speed feats

  • Arcee dodging and doing backflips over the machine gun fire from Battletrap
  • Arcee last minute and closely dodging a missile
  • Stratosphere flying from NYC to Peru in a short amount of time.

All of them would put them in the Supersonic to Hypersonic ranges

Also I did KE for Stratosphere and it was like low end 8-A. So Low 7-C is out the window lmfao

He sort of has shades of it at times, though he is certainly more reserved compared to Bayverse Prime (especially post-2007) and gets a better defined character arc.
Not exactly. Like he's brutal but not to the extent of his Bayverse self. He's much more chill.

He also doesn't shout "I'll kill you" everytime during mid fight.
Okay, after watched it, now this is what Murder Prime should be, not that psycho Bay Prime who kill for fun for no absolute reason at all

We should carry the discussion to the spoiler thread above but yeah. I feel his rage is justified considering the shit Scourge is pulling. Killing one of his closest friends in front of him, killing Mirage, corrupting Airrazor and bringing a cosmic horror to Earth. Because beyond that, Optimus is significantly less brutal when fighting other characters. It's only towards Scourge where he becomes really vicious

About unicron, the uncountable infinities thing seem to be describing the omniverse, not the transformers multiverse, and from what I'm able to understand from the messy cosmology of transformers, unicron has only eaten the transformers multiverse. Wouldn't that make him 2-A instead of Low 1-C or am I missing something?
The entire multiverse is ruled by 21 dimensions, unicron will be both 2b and 1b as the multiverse eats out 1b from here.
