There is an infinite chain of all possible and impossible stories... which lead to another infinite chain of all possible and impossible stories, which again lead to another infinite chain of all possible and impossible stories, and so on to infinity.

uuuh no.
As far as i know, infinity*infinity*infinity or infinity^infinity ... does not reach aleph 1 let alone absolute infinity.
so it is absolute infinity*infinity if i get this right.

An infinite chain of stories is already enough, adding more cardinal numbers would do nothing. We are already at a level where making the structure more complex and adding more hierarchies would do nothing. It's like adding 1 to infinity, no matter how much you add infinity won't get any bigger. In a way, we have already reached the top of human imagination, the cosmology of the work is already recursive on all levels, as I said before, complicating the structure will not complicate anything.

The book is interesting and contains ideas that I particularly like. I may be exaggerating, but I think the story is so great and has such a special construction that I can't figure out how the author thought of all this.

In one chapter we learn that there are many universes in the multiverse, to enumerate all the universes one must not simply use finite numbers but transfinite numbers, after which it is explained to us that the sequence for enumerating the universes will wait for the hierarchy of the large cardinal numbers and will eventually go beyond its extreme top.

The theme of the book is "anything goes" and therefore the multiverse can contain anything, even contradictory things. Everything that is possible, everything that is impossible, everything that is possible to write and everything that is impossible to write exists in the multiverse and therefore even the existence of a top to the hierarchy of large cardinal numbers can exist.

Above the multiverse there is an infinite hierarchy where each higher layer sees the lower layer as a dream, above that there are more hierarchies that lead to other hierarchies and all this is only a small part of the stories created by the Self-Reference ENGINE.

And this is only one story in an infinite chain of other stories, so there are stories that are structurally superior to the SRE story, and so on to infinity, and this infinity leads to another infinity of stories and so on, in a way creating a hierarchy (perhaps even a hierarchy of hierarchies) of stories.
