Tier 9-B Enter the Octagon Tournament: Little Mac v Licorne

For the most part, yes. So they're comparable in skill. And Licorne is at an AP disadvantage.
Licorne has other advantages tho, he has the LS advantage and has actually used it to restrain one of his assassins before
He reached around his back and pulled something out from behind him. It wasn’t a flashlight or a walkie-talkie—

It was a gun.

“Die!”

The gun, equipped with a cylindrical silencer, was pointed squarely at us.

However, before he could pull the trigger, Lico had already made the first move. Lico picked up an abandoned umbrella from off the ground and flung it forward. It transformed into a javelin as it accelerated through the air and flew towards the guard.

But the umbrella wasn’t heading for the man’s body—it was aimed at the barrel of the gun. The tip of the umbrella slid right into the silencer.

Bullseye.

Naturally, the trigger couldn’t be pulled with the umbrella lodged into the barrel, and the weapon became too unwieldy to hold with one hand. After tugging at the umbrella for a few moments to no avail, the man cursed in some foreign language and tossed the gun to the side.

Those precious seconds were enough for Lico to sneak up behind the distracted guard. With no hesitation, he twisted the man’s right arm upwards with ease, bending it into a grotesque position. The sound of a bone snapping distinctly echoed through the air, even over the deafening fire alarm.

The guard let out a horrific scream as he fell to his knees and slammed face-down onto the ground.

Showing no mercy, Lico pressed his foot against the man’s neck, gaining full agency over his movement. The man was powerless to resist from underneath the small boy.

But Lico wasn’t finished with his assault. He pulled out a hammer from inside the suit around his arm. It wasn’t a small, garden-variety hammer you would use for a nail; the tool looked like it was entirely made of carbon steel, implying that it was designed to be used as a lethal weapon.

Lico raised the hammer over his head—
He also actually has weapons and poison, while Mac only has his fists

No....? You’d have to cherrypick to reach that conclusion from the above paragraph. Ultimates are the pinnacle of human achievement. The ultimate programmer wrote a sentient A.I from Scratch, the Ultimate Lucky Student can make a landslide from kicking a pebble down a hill if it so suits him, etc. etc.
Neither matter here becuase they aren't skill feats. I know there's a select class of bullshit in Danganronpa but I about 99.9% sure Licorne isn't in that elite class.

Weapons, you know, the kinda cheap tricks Mac has already dealt with in a guy named "Aran Ryan".

Aran Ryan is not comparable in any way shape or form his “weapon” is a boxing glove attached to a rope he swings about. You cannot compare that cartoony slapstick offensive approach to Licorne’s weapons

Yet it still is a trick Mac didn't know about and would know to avoid with Licorne.

His shovel, his hammer which is made of carbon steel, and a poison-coated wire inside his tie that he can use to stab people with to make them fall unconscious. There's also a knife, pepper spray, umbrella, dart and more items. He also carries a spare tie with him in his vest pocket
You know yourself Aran Ryan’s trickery doesn’t equate to that arsenal

Ah, but if Licorne is going for something Mac would immediately be on-edge and be looking to avoid whatever Licorne is trying to prepare.
Ok? That doesn’t help him avoid pepper spray, or a hammer to the face, he’d probably break a bone trying to block that, and at close quarters he wouldn’t have time to dodge

Pepper spray is easy, a hammer is also easy, for the simple fact of a hammer is gonna be predictable when used properly.

What can Mac even do here? He has a slight AP advantage but Licorne’s skill means they’re not going to lose a pure battle of kicks and punches anytime soon

Honestly I get the feeling our valuations of these two characters in numerous areas are wayyyy apart, and I’m not seeing how debate is going to fix that, so I’m just going to vote Licorne now for superior Skill, Options and resourcefulness.

They're comparable in skill, unless you can find a skill feat that tells otherwise. Licorne isn't Junko who fought the ultimate Martial Artist and Got away with it.

Licorne is vastly superior to Kyoko, who had no issues leaving her door open (literally) at night in a killing game with Sakura involved, she obviously would’ve been stupid to do that if she did not believe herself capable of at the very least making it out of that situation alive

That honestly sounds like scaling that'd be rejected in a heartbeat. Cause then everyone and their grandma would scale to Sakura to my knowledge.

My point is Danganronpa is as a verse miles ahead of Punch Out!! in skill, and Licorne is definitely incredibly skilled even in the context of DRV, vastly scaling above those that are hardly slouches, even when compared to some of the Skill Top or even God Tiers of the verse

Why does she scale to Sakura in any way except for "Well she left her door open"?

She doesn’t need to, even if she heavily downscaled she’d be leagues above Punch Out!! Leorio scales well above her, as well as world class assassins who have gone to specialised schools for this kinda stuff, in the context of how skilled of a verse Danganronpa is, that title alone and it’s meaning trump Mac, I think that’s relatively simple.

You've done a REALLY shitty job at explaining it then cause I still can't see them as anything but comparable in skill right now

Honestly the way you’ve dodged some of the points made in this thread I think it’s more down to your wilful ignorance and less my explanations, but agree to disagree... /s /lh

But in all seriousness, I’ll just leave it to Adem they probably can do a better job explaining it than me tbf

i don't know shit about DR kirigiri but if these so called "world class assassins" are anything close to an ultimate then licorne should dogwalk Mac as nothing i've seen so far reaches how dumb ultimates can get

So... Licorne FRA I guess?

I guess I'll be voting Licorne, too.

Voting Little Mac because he is tier S in Smash Bros

S stands for Shit, he just suicides off stage as usual, Licorne wins, because he is from the next Manhwa I am gonna read 🤙

Edit: I thought Licorne was the boxer that is also fighting Mac in another thread, he stills shows superiority in skill for what this thread shows
