does thor have any abilities that can realistically close the gap? if not, we can probably close this.

Thor can most likely close the gap with warrior madness, or incinerate him with Godblast.

While their base AP are very distant from each other, Thor have some 4-A attacks, so he can one shot Sephy too

God blast and his belt should help plus warriors madness

With such a massive AP difference, plus the fact that Sephiroth has status effect spells to make Thor weaker, belt and Warrior's Madness is not gonna do anything. Godblast is his best bet.

Thor can warp the belt around mjolnir to augment the power of god blast

God Blast is already 4-A and I believe strong enough to kill Sephiroth outright anyway.
