Weather Report vs The Gambler
I am curious to see how this goes (Hopefully it goes over better than Ash)

Ground Rules:
  • Speed is Equal
  • Gambler has all of his equipment EXCEPT for the revolver
  • Weather Report has his Matador clone
  • Gambler has prior knowledge on Weather Report
  • Both start 15m away from each other
Who Wins?

Turns into storms: 0 ()
"Gaslighting isn't real, you're just crazy": 0 ()
Ash's clones kill both of them: 0 ()

Seeing as Ash is stated to be "reserved, shy and quiet, the very picture of an introvert" and that his meekness makes him quick to accept requests, Gambler would try to gaslight him into playing games with him, he'd likely try to earn his trust by starting with a rather simple game of the knife game and after earning it would make him a game of poisonous drinks, in which both players keep on drinking drinks till one finally gets the poisoned cup and dies of poison, Gambler's Supernatural Luck would greatly help him accomplish this

Ash's clones are restricted

This sorta just becomes a normal dude with an axe and a lot of medical knowledge against a guy with such a degree of luck that he wins Russian roulette with 5 bullets loaded

why disable his clones that defeats the purpose

In game there was a time a cape tried to bluff Ash and they just got beaten to death before they got to say anything. He doesn’t really wait.

I can also bring up the Connor Ghost here, who is probably unlikely to let Ash do ridiculous suicide bullshit.

…but ultimately if the SI is that good it should probably be mind manipulation and Ash just resists that lol.

Admittedly I more said Weather Report as a joke given the guy can phase through the electrons of shockwaves but that did require active attention and wasn't really a direct attack on them so I'll brush that off

Regardless, the Gambler's sheer luck should probably allow them to nail Weather Report's core even in their breaker state, though that'd become way more difficult if they get within close enough range to just scatter their luck to the wind (which probably results in the battlefield becoming a complete anarchy hellzone), but Matador does have his at will teleportation for just getting into Gambler's face and keeping up enough pressure that they can't properly do that, while Weather Report just goes in and scatters their luck/distorts their perception for a near guaranteed takedown

Yeah i don't particularly see how gambler has a chance to win this one, he start a bit too far away to do anything and once he gets in the storm he really can't compete with it

Can't he throw his knives, and with his level of luck, outright hit weather Report's core?

Like, there are a lot of factors to make that less likely but it's not a complete no-win con

Nah, he's too far away "several meters by throwing knives" that 3 to 10 meters, even if we say he can throw them 10 meters that doesn't come close to hitting weather report sense the starting distance is 15 meters and either way, Gambler's luck is more of a defensive ability than an offensive one

And the moment he's in the storm he loses his luck and not even his skill with knives can save him cause he'll see Illusions
