Thank you.Sounds good. I wasn’t sure nether the helmet or the words should be centered, so I’ll try that next
Yeah, personally I prefer having the words more off center as opposed to the color change (although that might just be apart of the original image).May be the best we can do, I find the colour-change being a bit off center more irritating, but I can live with it as-is.
Nothing, really, it's just a matter of finalizing the transfer of all SCP files to their new archive wiki. The pages themselves are ported, the images are not.Since the new Internet media image was chosen, what else needs to be done here?
We’d also delete Twin Peaks, Cthulhu Mythos, etc if that were the case. Yet we aren’t.Or are you guys suggesting a deletion because of its Level of "OP"?
The pages are being preserved. After all the years of hard work? Deletion isn't the way. What are the systematics to proposing a fiction and it's sources as "Valid" within this site? It's simply "canonicity".
It's been pointed out that you need to have permission from staff to speak on this thread. This is to prevent exactly this sort of unneeded chatter. There is a companion thread floating about if you wish to lament.Oh my... That ain't right. After all the years of hard work? Deletion isn't the way. What are the systematics to proposing a fiction and it's sources as "Valid" within this site? It's simply "canonicity". As long as all fall under being canon then I don't see reasons as to why it should be deleted, damn. I'm just seeing this now. Oh my.
Or are you guys suggesting a deletion because of it's Level of "OP"?
I've done some of the work, but it seems they are broadly slow to pursue it. It may be necessary, given the length of time since an agreement was reached. Off the cuff, I think two weeks is ample time.Last I heard, people were taking their time with moving the images over, rendering the migration incomplete.
Is this the point where we should start considering a deadline to force them to act?
July 21st, 11:59 PM EST, right? Like, a time clarification might be goodI'd considered the countdown to have begun, given the liking of the message and no further statements on the matter, but I will post it plainly.
The countdown is two weeks from today. SCP people have until July 21st to move all remaining content to the archive forum. I've assisted and will try to assist further, but legwork will be necessary from others.
I will return to this facet of the discussion (admittedly late, but it seems appropriate to do this now, to avoid future drama).I will say, if this is going to be deleted, there should be a rule emphasizing the fact it's been officially banned from the wiki ala Suggsverse
By discussion rules I don't really have sway on this save what I can directly argue, and I really don't know that much about SCP anyhow.
Slap this (or whatever we end up with) into the Discussion Rules, at the bottom of the page, with the other two verses with specific bans on their presence on the wiki.SCP Rules
Do not try to add any SCP Foundation profiles to this wiki. It has been discussed here that the verse is inappropriate for our wiki due to issues such as attempted manipulation of statistics. As the threat of this contamination is unlikely to change, any discussion on the subject is disallowed barring some major changes in policy on the SCP Wiki's behalf. Without such major policy changes, discussion regarding additions of SCP Foundation profiles is regarded as a waste of all involved parties' time.
Whether to implement a deadline for deleting SCP (provisionally yes, placed roughly 2 weeks from now).Kind of got lost what the topic was.
Iffy on that one. Alt Battles isn't an official wiki, and depending on how it goes/is moderated, the mention of it may negatively be perceived. The intent of it extends beyond just archival, and includes other verses rejected from VSBW- it already has the Backrooms, I believe, for example. I'm unsure if mentioning it explicitly is a good idea, with that level of uncertainty about its future.I would maybe suggest mentioning Alt Battles in the rules just so people know it exists and where to post SCP.
Alright. I went ahead and did it myself. This category seems to cover all the 33 profiles currently rated at that, so, it seems the transferral of everything in them is finished. Given that, and the fact we're 2 (1?) days away from the deadline anyway, I'll move on to delete them.Hi all, sorry for home invading, but it has come to my attention that there are still a bunch of SCPs in the Tier 0 category. As some of you know, Tier 0 has changed, and given the specifics of these changes, there being roughly ~30 profiles in the category, none of which fit the bill anymore, is rather strange.
Given SCP is a verse pending deletion anyways, I encourage the people behind the transferal to, if possible, get these ******* off my lawn as soon as possible. Thank you.
Yeah, all done.Alright. I went ahead and did it myself. This category seems to cover all the 33 profiles currently rated at that, so, it seems the transferral of everything in them is finished. Given that, and the fact we're 2 (1?) days away from the deadline anyway, I'll move on to delete them.
I do not think that the calc blogs need to be deleted. Our new SCP profiles hosting wiki can directly link to them when necessary. Will the calc blogs be deleted?
If so, why? Seems a bit unnecessary (if we don't want them to pollute categories, we could instead remove the calc & SCP categories from those blogs), and it might break some other things (any other calcs on the site that reference them for their methods).
Nuh uh nerddude doesn't even know JARB is an admin, not a content mod, yeesh.
