Lolno. It doesn't do anything Sonic's normal spin attack doesn't do. It increases range a bit. That's it.
Insta-shield allows Sonic to not take damage when hurting someone, Sonic can also hurt people with shields with it as well, it doesn't just increase range

The insta-shield gives Sonic brief invencinbility when used

Chronicles is in this weird limbo. I can't remember where it was said, but it's apparently stated to be "Sonic's last adventure". So I think it's supposed to be canon, it just technically didn't happen yet.

I remember Sera talking about it too.

@Bruce It was left on a cliffhanger, but I think it was supposed to be "Chronicles happens, sequel where the good guys beat Eggman, story's done". But since we never got a sequel, I guess you could say Eggman wins. Although Sonic would definitely have something to say about that lol.

Mega Man FRA.

Also, I'd say a huge factor is Mega Man's tactical mind. Sonic (let alone Super Sonic) has super mobility and such with his true flight and spin dash so Mega Man would then know to counter with weapons that'll slow down Sonic's movements (he did this against Quick Man by using Time Stopper and stopped Nitro Man from turning into his motorcycle form by using Chill Spike to pop his tires). Considering this, it's likely that Mega Man would open up with AZ, black holes, or even time stop to make a plan and quickly stop his movements in order to take him down.

Sonic also has a tatical mind, and has experience beating people like Megaman

The only things Sonic has fought that are sort of similar to Mega Man are robots with some hax. Sonic has never faced anyone with the sheer variety of hax that Mega Man has. And while Sonic can be tactical, he usually prefers using brute force and speed rather than abilities and tactics. Meanwhile, Mega Man is far more tactical than Sonic and has fought enemies like Sonic before and knows how to counter.

Emerl and Metal says hi, they literaly are similar to Megaman.

Sonic also is very tatical, you are underestimating os combat inteligence

Tbf Emerl and Metal does get outclassed by Megaman in the versatility department. Emerl and Metal just copied powers from Sonic's friends, while Mega copied powers from a long list of robot masters that goes over 80.

I'm not underestimating his combat intelligence. It's just that he doesn't use it often, and even then Mega Man is more tactical.

I was pointing out that your argument for Sonic fighting foes like Mega Man is useless because Mega Man has faced opponents like Sonic.

Sonic has used strategy plenty of times, and also each robot master only has one ability unlike Sonic and Co who have several.

Sonic doesn't have the same weakness that Quickman has.

But whatever, Megaman reached grace

However, Mega Man has all of the abilities of the robot masters.

Also, what? Sonic has no resistance to time stop, which is what Mega Man uses to handle Quick Man.

Each Sonic character has over 10 moves that Emerl copied, that's more than eighty moves, there's more than eight characters in Battle.

Sonic can know when Megaman stopped time and counter with his 30 seconds long time stop, unlike Quickman

I said over 80 as that is a generous way to show how much crap Mega has. And a good portion of Sonic characters' movesets are just physical attacks like punching and kicking. Not as diverse as having plethora of shields and projectiles that differ between what they offer.

He can't counter if he's stopped in time. And Sonic can't even really do anything when time is stopped.

Mega Man has copied over 100 weapons, not 80. And the Sonic characters' abilities aren't nearly as good as those of the robot master's, and absolutely none of them had AZ attacks.

Not really, every character in Battle has a projectiles and a trap attack, also Emerl can merge their attacks and create new ones unlike Megaman

Creating new ones doesn't mean he is more diverse than Megaman. You have to show what these new techniques can do. Also they have projectiles and traps but they don't make up the entirety of the moveset and they aren't as good and diverse as the Robot Masters.

Megaman can't stop time forever, and he can't kill Sonic in one, the moment that it ends Sonic will stop time and finish him with a wisp

And he didnt stop the time against metal sonic. So no, he isnt going to do it. Also, it doenst even matter if mm cant stop the time forever or not, since each character can one shot each other, its a quick battle. Also, some of AZ attacks are ridiculous hard to avoid, like tundra storm.

That's bad reasoning. He has never shown he can combine wisps with his super form.

And Sonic doesn't even really use time stop often at all.

@Beamgc That's a bad argument. Sonic wasn't threatened by Metal Overlord so he didn't need to use time stop against him.

Ofc it was, eggman pointed it out. That was a serius battle.

And how will sonic know that megaman is a threat? If he is confident who guarantees that he will take the fight seriously? You are just making assumption with no proof here bro. Instead, we should use what was shown on the screen and what was shown is that sonic does not use time stop after his opponent has used it. Metal overlord who was an opponent who spammed chaos control like a crazy and sonic did not he even think of using his own.

Super Sonic can uses the wisps in Forces.

He didn't take Overlord serious because he couldn't even harm him, he's confidant in that Battle multiple times.

The moment that he realises that Megaman has stopped time and severaly damaged him he will use it as he did against the Ifrit who he did find a threat

Also, can everyone just stop? It's not like this useless bickering is going to change the outcome. If you disagree, fine. But don't continue to comment like it's gonna change anything.

@Beamgc Yeah, Eggma, not Sonic. See the problem with that argument now?

Sonic isn't stupid. If he notices his opponent is tough, he does pull out his hax. He used Time Break against Ifrit Golem because he knew he stood no chance against it at the time.

Sonic stopping time won't do anything. He doesn't use it often at all in character, and Mega Man has far more and far better wincons.
