Nah. See it's instantenous when you're being petrified and turned into stone. You saw, you dead even if you teleport. But freezing requires an area to be frozen. If you get out of the area being frozen you're safe.

Likely is not an absolute but okay. Either way, it's not like John gets close up to fight the moment he realizes he can be frozen molecularly when his attack fails.

An area doesn't need to be frozen, Toshiro simply needs to make contact with his flash freezing. "No matter the substance, all functions will cease..." An area does need to be frozen for his supreme freezing ability, which is whatever is in front of him.

And does John really have combat intelligence like that to realize he needs to go? He was grasping Cole with both hands, allowing half his head to be melted away, just so he could break his powers. Seems foolish to me.

Considering that both sides have been posting logical and solide arguments for both characters and that the votes are no difference (8-7), then yes i believe this thread can be concluded and add this match-up as incon

Freezing works that way if the person in there doesn't suddenly vanish or starts to reform as a black hole in another area.

Also the guy was literally going berserk and unable to comprehend anything just attacking anything harmful around him. Hell, he's actually competent enough to try and drain Cole's powers, which succeeded. And Cole has the merits of not having haxx like Toshiro.
