If Steve only has the equipment listed in the OP, then Steve's durability boost via protection enchantment, Regenerationn and shield keep him in the game, along with an AP advantage of 2x and seemingly more combat experience. Thanos would have to break Steve's armour to get that first kill to turn him 9-A, and I think it's more likely that Steve would knock Thanos out first.
