edit: we found out there are translation issues going on with the verse due to astral's bad translations

The WN profile is extremely outdated, a lot of crts have been made to fix it, but they have not been applied yet. Here the one that explains Cm1.

There's not really the need to remove anything. As I think only the CM1 was applied. We can reopen the crts with officially translated scans at a later date and have the mods review it again. At least just for controversial abilities like Cm1.

The reason should be fairly obvious, but for those new to this, its because the Unofficial Translation has betrayed us in its reliability with how it translated an important part of the novel wrongly, along with many other Mistranslations that were left unnoticed and will be brought by me in the Future.

Rules were made stricts regarding them recently so I don't know but I think it was made clear enough that official translations or Fan translations of reliable quality are always preferred over MTLs before even the rules were made strict.

Additionally, while official translations are preferred, fan translations that are of good and very reliable quality will also be accepted.

So I think if Fan translations had issues then they were supposed to get them corrected by translation helpers rather than using another unreliable alternate.

I’m not too sure. I wasn’t here for all of that. From what I can tell some downgrades were made using bad translation and some inconsistent author statements. I haven’t seen much bad translation. At least not enough to affect everything.

Supporters of the verse have used MTLs over unofficial fan translations due to the poor quality of fan translations which is just replacing one unreliable alternative with another, which raises questions about the reliability of the entire WN profile.

A very unfortunate situation, but we kinda basically need to double-check everything, which would likely entail removing all additions made by Astral until we can verify the proper translations.

Starting over a giant multipart revision is so fun!

If I remember correctly there were even WN revision threads that went up to 14, so there are at least 14 threads to review about this, and also this whole MTL and mistranslation thing goes back to even before Astral was here, the Jozay era, but it all took a turn with the Astral threads, at this point unless someone has time to fully review something that goes back in 2022 to this day, better just nuke the verse given this.

Considering that revisions since nearly a year by now we're made Basing that Unofficial Translations are bad and unreliable. Then WN profile has been against our rules since forever I suppose.

Except none of those have been applied. We just need to recheck them.
 
Well, checking Rimuru's profile yeah, none of the revisions has been applied, only the ones that OP is questioning and the tier 1 upgrade. So it is safe to say that we could revert the changes to those threads and investigate the previous ones.
