Stamina: A veritable clustertruck

I suppose so, yes.

So should we apply Promestein's Stamina page draft now?

Thank you. I will wait a bit for some confirmation from other staff members as well, in order to make certain, before applying this change though.

Of course. it's only natural that I'd say "yep go ahead fine by me 100%"

No problem. I just don't want us to push through a drastic change like this without sufficient staff support.

Updated again with DT's suggestions.

Just for the record I think most feats currently listed as "Resistance to Pain Manipulation" or anything like that should be saddled under Stamina. You're not resisting pain manipulation if you power through it, you just have a good pain tolerance. Pain manipulation resistance is resisting the ability that causes the pain and not feeling the pain to power through.
I think a lot of them aren't actually written as "Resistance", just as "Extreme Pain Tolerance" with no links. We had a revision for that stuff IIRC.

Still better as Stamina feats.

Do you all accept the new version?

That's Ant, DT, Kru, Armorchompy, Mitch, and Crab, at least, who approve thus far.

That is pretty much everyone actually participating in the thread, for the record, so...

Yeah I think it's good to apply this, effective immediately.

@Promestein I still think a few more levels should be added to it, such as Above Average, Athletic, and Nigh-Infinite.

Eh, maybe Athletic but no distinction is necessary between Above Average / Athletic. Thoughts?

@Promestein Then, I guess it should just be Athletic. Still wondering if Nigh-Infinite would help at all.

It wouldn't. Too vague.
Yeah, I guess not. I don't suppose any synonyms for the different levels would help save time either. But there definitely should be Athletic if I'm completely honest.

@Promestein Though I am still in favor of Above Average, just to keep it VS Battles-looking; I mean, if someone possessed Above Average Lifting Strength, I figured they'd need something like Above Average Stamina to back that.

Isn't Athletic above average by default?

I think just Athletic is fine as it is.

I also found something similar to this from the Top-Strongest Wiki; not sure if it matters much, but maybe it'll give you guys some ideas similar to their levels.

Should we establish a baseline for what is considered Superhuman, at least in terms of periods of time?

Afaik professional fights have an average length of 4-5 minutes for a round, and the standards change when it comes to other activities such as running, swimming or so.
And then things change once again if we refer to different types of battles, especially when stalling tacticts and weapons are included.

Like, it's extremely common in fiction to have characters going on fighting for several minutes, or performing several fights in quick succession, would it still be enough for superhuman?

We'd want to establish the peak of human stamina limits going by the most impressive displays of stamina irl

But like, yes, Superhuman stamina is really easy to get I think

@Promestein I feel like that would help.

Running's a bit different from fighting tho, I think we should definitely find examples from MMA or something like that

Never mind. I used the latter option:

Given that we now have 8 extra spots for other important explanation pages, do any of you have suggestions for candidates?

That seems like a good idea to me.
