Idk about time trapper. It's very much so for SBP considering he didn't even consider it a separate ability and it just sorta happened when he punched sometimes, but I don't know if time trapper has had some sort of significant character shift that would alter this.

Its also the in verse explanation for a lot of the changes in CoIE. He banged on the walls of reality too hard.

SBP's Retcon Punches required him to be in the right circumstances to do it. Punching the walls of reality or like when he punched through a dimensional window after being trapped in the Phantom Zone.

Personally, I've never considered it a reliable ability in a debate.

Yeah but it's kind of hard to say why. Brainiac 5 says that it was due to Time Trapper and SBP interacting that a cosmic reset happened. So, was it the punch or just them interacting? Either one is likely.
