So one of the things I was initially concerned about when playing Shadow Generations was that Shadow's White Space hub was pretty damn small as a open zone. But once you beat the first boss, the Biolizard, it opens up completely and I think it's pretty good.

Not as good as the open zones in Sonic Frontiers, at least in my experience thus far, but it's pretty nice that SEGA made the White Space for Shadow a decently big place for Shadow to explore.

Also since we already know what happens, I just want to say that the Biolizard fight in Shadow Generations ******* ROCKS!

I don't know if it's because of Sonic Frontiers or something, but I think Shadow Generations is going to continue the trend of having stellar boss fights just based off the Biolizard fight alone. I'm biting my nails in anticipation when I inevitably get to Metal Overlord, that's going to be insane.

I have digital deluxe purchased, so, I can try to provide any answers of stuff for anyone who may not have the game, when it releases.

No, not from what I can find. There are things brought up as "possibly" meaning infinite, but, I don't think the blog ever goes into it.

I want to consider infinite-sized universes for myself, but, I don't believe in the Sonic Prime evidence, so I'm looking for more. (I know there's the alt text in that Shadow Gens tweet, but, I don't feel that is being literal, so.)

The Sonic Prime evidence is bad by itself, yeah

Here comes all the "muh singular timeline" downplayers because of Ian's rewrite.
I already saw downplay from a certain user who stalks these threads and let's them live rent free in his head, complains about our stats but never makes a single thread directly here. Very curious. But I don't gaf about downplayers. They will interpret whatever they want for their agenda, no matter how explicitly it is. They're those annoying ass friends who don't like anything, lol.

Isn't the whole thing about time eater moving through the dimension of time in the rewrite more explictly immeasurable than the original? Like I wouldn't blame people for thinking the OG scene meant time travel but this one seems more easily readable as a speed feat

Pretty much, yeah. It also makes universal far more explicit which is why downplayers are focusing on the multiversal angle.

I've actually seen somebody claim the opposite and that this helps prove it's strictly time travel. But yes, this line coupled with the Encyclopedia statement of Super Sonics + Time Eater flying through the end of time, seems to make them blatantly Immeasurable now.

Now, about that Time Eater rewrite, it's funny because people are saying it makes it harder to argue it affecting the cosmology and kills the hypertimeline argument without realizing many didn't even believe Time Eater did a Low 2-C feat. If any threads pop up down the line, I'm sure we'll have fun dismantling it anyways.

Yeah even though I don't agree with the whole 1-C hypertimeline thing (Which isn't an issue I have with Sonic specifically just how the site handles them in general, don't really see how Zeno is Low 1-C) this is still a blatent Universal+ feat at the minimum, not even taking into account affecting stuff like the deleted Crisis City future somehow being affected

People commenting about Time Eater like this for sure reminds me when the most accepted explanation was that Time Eater was unqualified and everything he did was non-measurable Hax for slowly erasing parts of lands from time, so not even City-level as pure power.

Even thinking Time Eater is Low 2-C is already too much compared to the past lol

City-buster Time Eater
Gents, can we get any more based than this?
(Which isn't an issue I have with Sonic specifically just how the site handles them in general, don't really see how Zeno is Low 1-C)
I getcha. Getting hypertime is like the new 5-D wave. If it's any consolation, as the guy who introduced it to Sonic here, I didn't think it would get accepted ☠

At least you were never obnoxious on the site about it, so credit where it's due.

And it's not like people having different opinions keeps me up at night. It does rub me the wrong way when people are trying to use Shadow Gens to shill an Eggman L. Same with the Sonic fans out there who were probably PRAYING the game gave Eggy something to defeat Bowser. Just enjoy the game you f÷$is 😭

As a Zelda fan I'm jealous of the blatent tier 2 scaling Sonic can get, we were close with the new game but the primordal cosmic destroyer villain that predates the creation of the multiverse and is even the reason it had to be made in the first place to contain him is like, island level lmao
Zeldabros, keep those heads HIGH. 2-B Triforce before 2030, let us manifest it by sacrificing more of Mario's stats

Sorry Mariogods, I just had to

Well hey the Triforce is actually gonna be tier 2 soon, the new game gives it a Low 2-C feat (Well, statement but hey we take those) that could MAYBE reach to the level of 2-B the goddesses are depending on how certain statements are phrased. I mean, it only applies to the complete Triforce and a single instance of Ganon off screen but hey that's still pretty good. Also lowkey I like the tier 6 to 5 ratings we have for a lot of the characters anyway, fits the setting while allowing a select few get into the cosmic stuff.

It's kinda funny when Death Battle fans and the team are the former, so the latter were always on the losing side.

So the characters that appear this far in Shadow's White Space are: Omega, Cubot and Orbot, Maria and Gerald Robotnik, and, for some unknown reason, Big the Cat. That was a shock to me, but it's a welcome surprise, I guess.

Also: Shadow Generations highlights one of my major complaints with Sonic Generations, but it's not a massive deal breaker to my enjoyment still. So Shadow Generations is divided by two stages per level, where Act 1 is purely 3D while Act 2 is purely 2D. And it made me realize that, quite simply, Sonic Generations should've been structured like that.

Have Classic Sonic be purely 2D while Modern Sonic was purely 3D without any of the 2D sections. And I suppose you could argue that they wanted to remain consistent with Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colors, but I always felt that it was incredibly redundant for Modern Sonic to have 2D sections in his levels when they already had a character who completely specialized in 2D.
