Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

I know Knuckles talks about Cyber Space being powered by Chaos Emeralds, but is it ever said if the Emeralds made Cyber Space?

The Ancients made Cyber Space by using the emeralds, and without them Cyberspace is "shut down", but the emeralds by themselves didn't make it, they were just the tools of the Ancients.
 
Okay, thank you. I remember thinking the Emeralds had been the source used to make Cyber Space, in the past, but I've never been able to find a citation for it.

Although amusingly, if you got what was probably someone else's link, I wonder if that means someone making a post about... humorously questionable pizza brands, instead got a scan about Emeralds in Sonic, lol?

I mean honestly that depends. Obviously they're gonna respect Sonic as "powerful," and we're probably see something like "Sonic is JUST AS FAST as Flash!"

But how a character is written is heavily colored by the perception of the writer putting them to paper, and if I know anything, is that's the pop culture zeitgeist's acceptance of a character's strength is often very different from their actual strength. So while there may be a genuine speed meta we may have to learn, DC cosmology is ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

What I'm curious about is the level of scope should there actually be an official crossover comic in the works. Because people can deny it all they want until the cows come home, but Sonic has demonstrated for decades at this point that the franchise is having a cosmic scale to its stories similar to DC's.

Or in layman's terms: I don't want them to wank Sonic, but at least make him on par with the Flash or something.

Ficcion sin limites:Sonic immeasurable speed and Flash immeasurable speed, the same thing.
also this wiki just refuses to give immeasurable speed to Sonic

By making Sonic on par with the Flash, they would be waking him anyway, except not really because it's thier character and if they want to make him stronger, that's thier buisness. Wouldn't be the first time.

Plot twist they have flash slip on a banana peel and get a concussion while sonic twists his ankle and gets instantly incapacitated. CW flash + Idw sonic.

In all seriousness though I think one way or another they will go out of their way to not portray sonic himself as weak and at worst they might make his friends Street level while he gets to tango with Herald tier characters.
 
Yeah I didn’t want to say anything as I didn’t want to be a buzzkill, but there’s a lot of ways this crossover could work. Since this is possibly the IDW crossover then there’s a chance it could give us something interesting, but there’s also an equally good chance that it’s just cosplays or it’s non-canon or something.

AFAIK, it may be live on Twitch, but I can't find it on Youtube.

Anyone know the official streams for it?
