Base Sonic getting one shot is irrelevant anyway, it’s Super Sonic that’s being discussed.

It’s not like Sonic is gonna make a quick trip to the Arabian Nights to pick up Shahra.
Plus the soul Res combo isn’t perfect, it requires Sonic to either use Darkspine to self generate soul energy, or do a bunch of stomps in a row without getting blitzed or one-shot.

Sonic’s speed doesn’t make Mario revive faster, he’s just gonna sit there waiting until Mario revives over and over and eventually the timer will run out (outside of the 70 billion ring thing, never heard of that).
And then if Sonic burns through all the revives, Mario restarts the battle with the clock and one-shots Base Sonic over and over until he runs out of soul energy.

Because his base form gets blitzed too hard for him to do anything unless he starts the battle as Super (which is pretty ooc)

Mario’s speed: MFTL+
Super Sonic’s speed: Immeasurable
Not sure if you understand the difference between MFTL and Immeasurable. But a non immeasurable character can not even hope of perceiving an immeasurable character. Sonic can literally travel to any point in time at will and Mario has no hope of reacting as Sonic will just see him as a statue. Mario won’t even get a chance to use ANY of his abilities before Sonic turns him into paste.

Sonic’s speed is immeasurable but that doesn’t make Mario’s revival speed immeasurable, he still has to wait until Mario revives which burns time.

- The argument in this case is Super Sonic vs Mario. We know Base Sonic loses (as I’ve said twice)
- If Mario is allowed his Optional Equipment, so is Sonic

Sonic can have his optional equipment, but I don’t think it changes anything unless Sonic specifically started the fight as Super, Sonic in base is too slow to capitalize on his revives.
