Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

If Superstars were pixel art/sprites I would be way more hyped for it. Not a fan of the Gens/Forces Classic model,& these ones look no different. There's something a little TOO stubby,cutesy,& unexpressive about them,the cool factor is gone. Especially Super Sonic,can't stand the way he looks in those games. But hey,it looks likes they have the physics down pat, at least.
 
The amped Super Sonic is growing on me a little. Although everyone is gonna associate lightning with it,when Super Sonic has already been depicted with lightning numerous times for the last 22 years.
 
I'm just gonna call it Super Sonic 2 unless we got an official name for it...and probably still call it that unless the name is that awesome.
 
So what are we gonna call it

Super Sonic 2
Cyber Super Sonic
Super Duper Sonic
Starfall Super Sonic
And Shiny Super Sonic

To be specific, it's Cyber Corruption. The leaks say Sonic learns to channel the Cyber energy he gets corrupted with

Because of this, we can just call it Super Sonic (Cyber Corruption).

I guess so, but the fact they say it’s “in” the past/present/future rather than across does add some credence to the idea that he’s isolated in specific time segments when in the past, or future. Sure, you can argue that maybe the temporal omnipresent properties of the Master Emerald rubbed off on the CE and allowed Solaris to exist across all of time, but that might be too headcanon.

no it doesn't........show me a statement in the game that suggests, or even hints that he only exists in arbitrary points in time instead of what eggman said, that being ALL OF IT

Eggman never said he exists across all of time, just that Solaris exists in the past, present, and future. If you had 2 clones of yourself and sent one to 1992 and the other to 2045, you would also exist in the past, present, and future.

and again, does anything in the game ever suggests or even HINTS at this highly specific and unlikely explanation?
 
The thing is, Solaris existing across all of time is inherently something that requires more proof than him existing in 3 points, especially when those 3 points can easily be explained as 200 years in the future, 10 years in the past, and the modern day. On a meta level it makes sense.
 
Yes, because there’s not enough proof on his page to explain why he exists across all of time. You can have Solaris existing in 3 time points and still have what was seen in game, Solaris’s attacks can just have a greater range than his physical body since not all of his attacks originate from his body extending. Since hedgehogs are accepted to have regen neg they don’t even need to destroy Solaris simultaneously, they can chip away and achieve the goal.
 
Past, present and future can also refer to specific elements. Like how people say they did an activity in the past or they will do something in the future. Moreover, they use the word “in” to describe Solaris’s presence in these eras, rather than across, meaning Solaris could occupy a position that is encompassed by these eras, rather than being the totality of them.

you are doing to much headcanon without the game specificially saying any of what you are trying to say,eggman does not say he exist in any year of the past,present or the future,he just says he is exist in the past present and the future.

Yes, he exists “in” those segments of time. Just like how isolated events also exist in the past or future but are not the totality of the past or future. If you exist inside of something, you by definition are not the totality of that thing.
