Gloves would probably be cheaper and quicker, actually. Less hairs to render since they can have a flat white texture.

I prefer Zebrahead's take. I feel like their style fits Sonic more than Crush 40 ever did. I love Crush 40s stuff, but their sound sounds detached from the atmosphere of Sonic games to me.

Sega officials arent happy with the Movie Sonic design. Even Yuji Naka is questioning it. And turns out they supposedly already had Shoes that matched Sonic's sneakers but didn't use them.

An Archie Comics cartoon with a vibe akin to Sonic X, one where it's mostly lighthearted but knows when to get serious, is something that would be incredible.

It easily should be able to work, after all, if Sonic Boom did, only a genuinely incompetent team would turn it into something like this.

Yeah, I figure the animation would work better with 2-D animation as opposed to Boom's 3-D. Plus it could potentially give it a proper ending and wouldn't be hindered by the Super Genesis Wave
