Solgaleo is classified as Planet level with the possible clause?

But it was stated to devour the Sun

"In writings from the distant past, it's called by the name "the beast that devours the sun." Ultra Moon Entry

So, shouldn't Solgaleo be moved up to Star level if it is said to Eat the sun?

And as it's counterpart, shouldn't Lunala be moved up to the same Tier?

To be fair, 2 things.

First, the text could refer to Solgaleo being capable of devouring the sun instead of him actually doing it in canon. The latter is obviously false as their would then be no sun but the former could be something to think about.

Second, isnt it mentioned in canon that Solgaleo and Lunala came from a distant world and traveled to the Alola Region of the main pokemon world? If so, couldn't it be logical to assume Solgaleo actually devoured the sun from the world it came from and not the main universes sun?

Note, im not pushing for an upgrade. Im fine with things as they are. Just noting stuff out that could be useful.

The devour of the sun a decent nod to the alchemic origibs of the mon .

"And coupled with the sun is the alchemical symbol of the green lion devouring the sun, relating to the notion of purifying metals, or as explained on this site: On a chemical level this is a metaphor for when a green, liquid sulfate called "vitriol" purifies matter, leaving behind the gold within the matter."

Pretty sure that was just Solgaleo eating the light of the sun. That's the whole point of Gen 7's trio.

And if you want to say: "Well Goku has Multiple sources saying he's Universal", the Quote from up there was on Nintendo's own Webpage. Can't get more canon then from the mouth of the Company itself (Yes I know Gamefreak makes the games, but Gamefreak's Pokemon Series is under Nintendo rule for now.)

Solgaleo never devoured the sun, otherwise said sun would not be there. We've been over this multiple times. They are not 4-C. The "Beast that devours the sun" is quite obviously a nod to alchemy and not to be taken as Solgaleo actually being able to devour the sun. Even then, we don't know whether it is all at once or over time even if he could.

@Kukui

There is no proof for you second assertion at all. It does not even remotely count as evidence. That is nothing but an unprovable and unsupported theory. Matter of fact the text it comes from contradicts this as the text refers to the King of Alola, meaning it would have to be the Alolan sun that he ate if he could devour the sun going by the texts.

Sorry to inform you, but being WoG doesn't instantly make a feat 100% accepted. Especially when it is clearly metaphorical and a nod to alchemy. The comparison to this and Goku does not fly.

However, shouldn't the Statements be considered? For example, many others are taken at face value, for example, Gardivoire's ability to create Black Holes, even though it's never shown, the closest is the Ability Gravity.

Because, Gardevoir's Black Hole were scientifically documented (Not to mention we see them in Pokken). Many legends in Pokemon are true. However, this has so many contradictions and other things that discredit it as anything more than metaphorical. The fact that there is a sun directly contradicts this. And even if he could eat the sun, we don't even have a timeframe for it.
