anyways to be real with you while i like solo leveling and its fights and art, in reality its the classic good ol' weak guy gets power up, becomes op, has everyone bend to him even the strongest ones, gets all women but is too dense to notice them, solos basically everyone except for a few final bosses in the end and finally, has 0 character just so the people who read that can project themselves onto him and get addicted to it.
It's story is generic - just following arcs with some boss in the end that mc beats with no effort until the final arc, there's no real hook, he keeps doing "unexpected things" when in reality they are very much basic. The mc is literally Kirito if Kirito wasn't ass
I won't deny that Solo Leveling is generic, cause it is, but that doesn't it is inherently bad, I personally think that a large portion of the early series was very engaging to read even though as time went on it got kinda rushed and fell off. I still don't think it was shitty though.

But this ain't the thread to talk about Solo Leveling, I just wanted to defend something I really liked, love you bro.

love you too, no homo.

but i actually like solo leveling and i will watch the heck out of the anime. I just can't say it has the same level of writing as things like Tower of God, Omniscient Reader's viewpoint or Kubera

Edit: or The Boxer

Oh naw it definitely ain't on that level, especially not on Omniscient Reader's level(since it's a masterpiece), it just isn't as bad as some may think.

Fixed your comment.

I tried to get into Omniscient Reader but the first few chapters are kinda mid NGL

ORV is a bit generic in some points with the MC being a bit too mary sue-ish but considering what i've read to in the webnovel that thing is amazing

Stick with it and you'll start liking it, the beginning is a grind I'll admit.
I'm reading the webtoon btw...

I kinda pushed it back though because Jungle Juice got me hooked (idk if you know what that is)

I know what Jungle Juice is, haven't read it yet because webtoon about insect people sounds ******* stupid.

Tbf, Phoenks should've chose someone else like Jericho or Theory, but anything WWE >>>>>>> The Boxer.

I recommend infinite levelling in murim (actually good wuxia) and heavenly demon cultivation(Re:zero, but the protagonist is a cultivator who joined a demon cult ) and Records of the mystic garden (hella unique worldbuilding and fighting style for the protagonist.) for manhua/manhwa to read after Solo Levelling and Omniscient reader.

You guys can talk to me when anybody in WWE literally fights Jesus.

Yu breaths and solos.

Fodder.

Boxing Jesus literally reinvents one's whole life and makes people discover the meaning of the universe with boxing. And he does this while his own body is tearing itself apart and he's being beaten to near death.

"God" in WWE is an old dude who probably can't go to the bathroom on his own.

And all that while he was rotten inside due to terminal cancer or some illness.
