why would we assume he'd already have completed his goal? It's the only way Thanos ever fights with the full gauntlet (except against thor when he had to send a blast to protect against a surprise attack). The first thing Thanos always does with the gauntlet is snap.

Alright, Does he target his opponents in character? Cause iirc he didn't choose all of the avengers to get snapped he made it completely random, thats why there's other avengers still alive, So gojo has a 50/50 chance of surviving right?

He even says it's automatic. There is another scan where it doesn't even move and Infinity is activated.

What's automatic is him sorting out the items. Because before that training he had to manually pick the stuff that goes through his infinity and stuff that doesn't. But in that training the sorting of items are automatic, he sorts them by curse energy levels now. He says this on the same panel
