Sanji tries to make good on his word... (Sanji vs Brook)

Fishman Island Saga to Early Whole Cake Island Saga for Sanji

And just general post-timeskip outside of Onigashima Raid for Brook

i mean apart that Sanji is consistently portrayed as the third strongest of the straw hats, meaning is canonically superior to Brook

Sanji pretty much win this: he has both Obs (wich is even very proficient with it as stated by Oda itself) and Arm Haki, his diable jambe tecnicque can take out Brook ice tecniques, is more skilled than him, and more acrobatic than him

i vote Sanji

Thing is Sanji in this key also doesn't resist any of Brooks haxier options

Like putting him to sleep

Brook ain't really gonna be out to kill Sanji unless apsolutely necessary, so if he can just put him to sleep and keep him that way to win he'd probably be more then happy to

Can Sanji's Observation Haki handle Brook's speed amp tho? He can boost himself to the point where he can completely blitz opponents significantly above him (Big Mom).

He's going to be holding a sizable attack speed advantage, even with stats equal.

Blizzard Slash should be fully capable of crippling Sanji, then. Due to its comparable AP and the added effect of its blood vessel freezing. Even if Sanji can break out of the ice itself with Diable Jambe, it would still do heavy damage, since Sanji has no resistance to it.

Since speed is equal, leaning Brook thanks to his FTL attack and dura neg

I didn't want to put a Rela+ dude against a Rela dude

And I didn't want to use later keys because that'd be less fair since Brook's hax don't really work to supplement his AP disadvantage

I'm voting for Sanji. He spent his timeskip running away from the Okama's barely being able to sleep, having to be away 24/7, so Brook's sleep hax wouldn't do much, as Sanji would wake up as soon as he senses danger.

His Kenbun has also been shown to wake him up from sleeping, so he also has that.

Sanji's speed amp with Diable Jambe would make it very hard for Brook to keep up, and any landed hits would completely cook Brook, as he did to Jabra's bones in Enies Lobby.

Brook's speed blitz is a viable option, sure, but Sanji's kenbun would allow him to read Brook's intentions and predict his moves, which would lead to Sanji either coat himself in haki to negate the freezing and cutting effects of the attack, or use Sky Walk to go in the air and fight at a range with Poele A Frire Spectre, lighting up the entire battle field, forcing Brook to focus on putting out the fires around him, which would give Sanji more openings to combo him.

At the end of the day, Brook's lack of haki is what gives Sanji the win here. Sanji wins mid difficulty in a worst case scenario.

When?

Brook's amps blitz people on par.

Fair

High diff.

Basic Kenbun works the same way, but Luffy is an advanced user of it-

Just because Luffy could react to a blitz attack with it, doesn't mean we should assume someone with worse haki could react.

It's similar to how Enel could predict some of Luffy’s movements with Kenbun but couldn't actually react to some of them.
