Saitama only confused him for a monster because this was a raid on the Monster Association base. Saitama usually doesn’t automatically go for the kill against human opponents just for attacking him, or else Sonic, Garou, Snek, Tanktop Tiger, Tanktop Black Hole, these Blizzard group folks, and these dudes would be dead.

Now that i think about it, considering we decided to Scale Saitama to Boros and in theory CSRC>Gaia Blast wouldn't Saitama have planetary shockwaves capable of nullfying attacks >6x Superman's AP? So, unless Superman's Freezing breath and Laser vision can kill/incap Saitama before he can throw a punch then Saitama wins

Planetary scale yes, but like Saitama himself said he has no "special" or "super attacks" and their strength isn't at a set rate. If he needs to unleash a shockwave big enough to blow up a mountain sized monster he can, if he wants to knock out a human he can, if he wants to unleash a shockwave enough to just destroy a monster like EC with a serious series without any collateral he also can.
If he needs to hit an annoying flying target far away with a shockwave then... what's stopping him from doing it?

Superman opens with Laser: loses unless it kills Saitama before he throws a serious punch

why does it need to be in a planetary scale if he can just put more strength if he wants to? he used a Low 5-B normal punch against Orochi despite using a Serious Punch against Elder Centipede, none of these had shockwaves, but the potency was still good

Because he didn't need to, Saitama overkills monsters, but not to the extent of such absurdity if he can help
