Rule Violation Reports - 33

We haven't censored the word for male genitalia as far as I am aware.

Well, we had to do something to prevent more of our important members from getting reported by trolls and banned by Fandom, and the filter has been working quite well recently, going by the logs, with the exception for when I accidentally made a programming error that lasted for 15 minutes a few days ago.

I will ask Merrystar which of the words that are actually bannable, i.e. necessary to keep though.

This censoring stuff is getting ridiclous IMO
Sorry to say this but like someone told me...

VSBW is slowly becoming a kindergarten

We should really stop derailing the thread with side conversations. Reporting a glitch isn't really a rule violation at all.

Banning "dick" and "cracker" isn't ridiculous? Because I know these two have now been seriously considered to be banned.

Just ban those 4 slurs that Tim went off about or whatever will automatically guarantee a ban no matter what context because context doesn't matter to FANDOM. Also at a certain point users should just take responsibility and make sure not to go excessive when it comes to inappropriate language.

I think that if is better that we hold this conversation via private PMs, especially as I am going to bed now, but I will ask Merrystar which of the words that are actually necessary to avoid bans during our upcoming conversation.

Is the n word banned on this site? I did a test run and i get an error when i post that word but when i post anything else its fine.

I have given Aerozz a strong warning. If he does not stop after this, we will have to block him.

I also permanently blocked Goasdfa. He attempted to post lots of extreme insults and bigoted slurs towards me, Ryukama, and Matthew, which were caught in the filter.

Well, Aerozz does not seem like a troll, just young and possibly immature.

Well, we will ban him if he continues.

@Theglassman12 & Ryukama

Timothy at Fandom told me that the problem was that the filter read the word "who're" as the w-word with an apostrophe.

We have now removed it from the filter settings, and I have asked if we can remove any others as well.

As long as whomst'd've isn't filtered I'm fine.

DavidLiteral seems to have admitted to trying to bypass the autocensor in this thread. What, if anything, should be done about this?

He seems to be just an inexperienced user, so a warning with an explanation of how things work should be enough
