Rip and Tear until it is done ~ Doomguy vs. Guts

Inconclusive, both are physically pretty similar, and Doomguy's weapons won't really factor in that much since many of them are inferior to his physicals.

If this comes down to a CQC fight Guts should pretty comfortably take it via experience. He's had a ton of similar fights before against opponents tougher than doomguy and is a master swords man. Plus the reach of the sword itself is a big advantage here. It's going to be tough for Doomguy to actually get close enough to damage Guts and with the Berserker armour Guts has a higher tolerance for punishment as well.

2016 Doom has his own energy sword (the Crucible) which is about as long as a person's body. Maybe even longer, if we consider how large it looked while a 3 meter tall robot was wielding it.

At a distance, he also has the BFG, which sends out energy tendrils that basically boil a person's insides. He's got hologram projectors to use for distractions, also.

About Doom's experience and pain tolerance; the lore of DOOM 2016 tells us that he went on a nonstop rampage through Hell that lasted "across eons", and that he effectively had the demons scared shitless of him just off the fact that entire hordes of them died wherever he went. The only way they were able to "stop" him was by collapsing a giant temple on him, and that didn't kill him; it just knocked him out long enough for them to seal him in a tomb. Which he survived in for countless years without sustenance of any kind.

All of this was before he had any guns or armor, also.

When I said Guts had a higher tolerance for punishment I was talking about his berserker armour allowing him to fight until his last drop of blood has been spilled. As impressive as Doomguy is I think that's a fair deal above his tolerance for damage. I don't think the BFG is going to be all that useful considering Guts was able to passively block an attack virtually identical to just taking the entire BFG to the face from Schrieke with dragon slayer even without the berserker armour improving his durability.

I forgot about Doomguys energy sword thingy. I guess the range advantage is moot if he has that thing.

Name: Guts

Age: 24

Hmm...

Name: Doom Slayer

Age: Billions of years old

In CQC Doom Slayer can just tear Guts apart, with his bare hands via experience.
