Even if it's passive Nobles have showcased the ability to supress their passives. Valcua prefers to defeat his enemy in honorable combat, so it's not likely he'll use his mind hax

Honestly, if it's DMC5 Dante we are talking about, he's 100% gonna be going all out. We've seen that he only messes around with enemies he knows for a fact are not a threat to him or anyone but he's absolutely bloodlusted against worthy opponents (how he threw himself at Vergil and Urizen). He would also know that Valcua is a threat to him via his aura reading, so yeah, if Valcua doesn't resist time-stop it's gonna be a huge problem for him
