Regarding Dragon ball super top/high tier characters "Universal" range.

So this issue has been bothering me for a while now. The reasoning given for the top/high tier characters range is that they are scaled from goku whose own reasoning for that range is "The shockwaves from his punches were tearing the universe apart". Well that is not true. Both Goku and beerus fighting together made that possible. Apart from Zeno and Fusion Zamasu no other Dragonball character has shown any kind of impressive ranged attacks.

Ok so 2 people are responsible for the shockwaves we divide the range by 2 so multi-galaxy range, the kaioken alone already would give Goku universal range.

Not to mention these shockwaves reached otherworld, a different space time continuum.

So you are saying Goku should bump his fists together to create a shockwave in order to effect someone who is at the edge of the universe lol. Leaving the shockwave thing out of the picture Goku has never shown anything beyond multi planetary ranged attacks. Also in the latest episode while fighting Hit Goku thought that he was out of Hit's range despite being only a few meters away.

@-BANLK- Well you can't punch space, so the only way they could possibly destroy the universe with their punches was through shockwaves.

@Blank We have no clue how Hit's attack works plus no character in DB has done what Hit has done without Ki. Beerus and Champa has stated they can destroy the universe 6 and 7 numerous times.

The energy ball that beerus nullified in his fight with goku was going to destroy the universe showing that their energy can go that far. Goku and Beerus where realising energy from their blows that reach the across the entire universe. Goku never showed this range because he can control the power he possesses just like all the other high/top tiers. Its all about controlling their power the fight between goku and beerus proves they have that kind of range and all the high/top tiers are stronger then SSG Goku and if the couldn't control their power they would have the same effect. In the manga beerus and champa where going to blow the universe when colliding their two spheres so they can destroy the universe without the shockwaves.

I personally think Universal via collisions for everyone who's not a GoD. I see "Goku wins via range" too much even though he never uses it in combat. Not everything not-special is scalable in DB

Just because you can destroy a universe doesnt neccesarily mean its universal in range. An attack from just a limited space thats strong enough to destroy the universe could destroy it without actually needing to cover it. Look at all the times they could destroy planets. Buu destroyed planet earth with a Ki Attack that was no bigger than a mountain at best. Same thing with Beerus who busted that one planet with a pin-ball sized ki attack and Broly who busted a planet with a baseball sized attack (even though non-canon).

Also IIRC isnt Other World only as large as a solar system? I seem to recall it being only as big as one Large Planet with a few small suns, which logically shouldnt even be as large as a fraction of a galaxy. But I could be wrong on this however.

No, Other World is exactly as large as the regular universe, while the Sacred World of the Kais as as large as 1/5th of the regular universe.
