Raichu vs Alolan Raichu

The Rules:
This fight takes place in Pallet Town.
Both Pokemon are Wild, meaning they don’t have any trainers.
I don’t know whether Raichu gets the Light Ball or not, but to be perfectly fair, neither Raichu has a Light Ball.

Otherwise, we follow Standard Battle Assumptions.

So their pretty much the same in terms of virtually everything but powers with AR having 3 powers more
But in rest like AP, Stamina, Range, Dura, Speed and etc
So I think this is like a tie and/or Incon than anything
It's like putting a character to fight himself

Thank you for the information. Raichu has his normal abilities (which appear to be Static) and Other Raichu has Surge Surfer, which increases his Speed on Electric Terrain.

I’m not sure, but I believe so. Both are Electric Types, however. Alolan Raichu’s just an Electric-Psychic.

Wouldn’t lightning rod give regular Raichu a decent edge here? Since if AR uses an electric move it’s fully nullified and Raichu gets buffed?

But didn't you say that electric types resist electric moves? Wouldn't that mean Alolan Raichu would just resort to psychic type moves to avoid proc-ing lightning rod?

But why would they? Psychic attacks would deal their regular damage as opposed to electric attacks that would do less damage to Raichu. So even without Lightning Rod, Alolan Raichu wouldn't try to use electric type moves on Raichu.

not if that would be considered game mechanics, but wild pokemons use attacks randomly (like using electric attacks on ground type pomons) so it would possibly attack yes with electric attacks (if this is not game mechanics)

Well... you have a point, it is very likely that a wild raichu alola and a wild raichu would not even know of each other's existence due to geographical isolation

Eh lets give them more credit than that. Wild pokemon in the verse are usually more self aware of their own species typing and abilities (hence all of the species line battles and rivalries in the series like Pikachu vs Raichu, Piplup vs Prinplup, etc etc etc) and while AR and normal Raichu wouldnt know too much on each other due to different regional origins, both would still be electric types, so it wouldn't be so hard for AR to know it's own species typing.

Look, I agree about knowing about the species itself, but I don't agree in the case of the alola raichu and the normal raichu, after all, the other species would know about their evolution due to coexisting with others from the species table, but for the raichu of alola, the normal raichu doesn't exist and vice versa, for them, each other would be completely different species of pokemon.

They're yellow and they say the same name. That should be enough indication to the two of them that this is an electric types

2-how would they know each other's names? pokemons hear themselves talking normally, not speaking their own name
3- Sudowoodo is stone type, mimikyu looks like a pikachu but it's ghost fairy type, clearly appears in pokemon doesn't mean automatically typing

In fairness, both Raichu also look extremely similar to each other, just with a different coloring and slightly altered tail. It wouldnt be impossible for them to recognize each other off of that.

Alolan raichu has 5 more special attack and should therefor be stronger. On a more serious note alolan has better mobility and a psychic typing it can throw out there instead of just electric attacks ogchu will attempt.

Both Raichu's Physical defence isn't that great so regular raichu can use slam and quick attack for neutral damage

Slam has terrible accuracy though. We did saw Lt. Surge's Raichu trying to use that against Pikachu and it failed horribly for him in the rematch

85% is not that bad and raichu can further lower that bad Physical defence via tail whip too or increase it's own evasion via double team but yeah the alolan raichu probably has more chances of winning this
