Lately i've been thinking

Opal's arrows and the laser light cannon, aren't they made from properties of light, making them similar in speed to it aswell. They're specifically both described as "light", and >FTL speeds are no stranger to SU, could this possibly mean we have a few FTL reaction gems

This wouldn't apply to all, but Malachite was able to react to Opals arrows and make an ice wall before they could reach her, and Alexandrite scales to Malachite. Basically those two only

Could this be acceptable?

Sigh, if only...sadly Opal's arrows are made of "light-based energy", not actual light. The LLC might fire light, not sure, but no one has ever reacted to it.

First: This should have been made in Question & Answers, not in Versus Threads

Second: Light properties =/= light, this could be just another example of pseudo-light, and not necessary is SoL; futhermore, even if is SoL, this will be considered outlier.

OBD scales them all to Jasper catching Lapis mid-flight, even though it takes some time for her to reach MFTL+ speeds

I think they scale Steven to FTL for dodging Peridots lasers in that one episode (I forgot the name). I can't recall any other feat off the top of my head though.

The Peridot's laser aren't even comfirmed to be FTL and nothing imply that...

Talking about speed, I would comment about Steven going from his house the the farm in about seconds in the new short, but pretty much is an inconsistence or just a gag

Yeah every link on OBD leads to the Lapis feat. While i agree that they arent currently FTL, i wouldnt count it out just yet considering how Garnet is casually MHS.

But the Gem Warship had reacted to the light cannons when it moved into a different position in order to tank the light cannons
