So continuing from a previous thread, we are relooking at feats, statements and powerscaling to clean up the mess of characters' AP, speed, durability, etc. Lately we've retiered Zeno, Illumi, Silva, and Hisoka to 7-C, Kanmaru Killua to 8-A, and Kite and Ging to around 8-A also but it's up in the air if they are low 7-C or not.

Why bring unrelated drama to the revision thread? Bring that up to his wall or something.

Anyway, Meruem might have Low-Mid Regenerationn via consumption as demonstrated when he healed his post bomb injuries by consuming part of Pouf and Youpi. (Chapter 299 and 301 I believe.)

I removed the drama part, so we stick on topic.

Can you summarise why Netero should be lightspeed?

Dunno about it. If Kyte is upgraded since he was able to inflict minor to Neferpitou while was trying to buy time for the others, then Low 7-C: Kyte, Ging, Shaiapouf, Current Razor, Monster Queen Zazan and Feitan Rising Sun. At least Low 7-C, likely 7-C or just 7-C: Hisoka, Chrollo, Zeno and Silva since Neferpitou was excited to fight Zeno.

About Low 7-C scaling, can we really back scale like this? Backscaling is the reason why Akame ga Kill is so messed up right now, i'd hate to see it happen to HxH as well.

For Akame ga Kill, that's because the time span between two arcs is generally huge. So long as feats happen in the same arc or it's established as a fact that someone's strength hasn't changed since a precedent arc, back scale should be ok

Even though we have yet to see, chimera ant Kite might be low 7-C because of the fact that he (she right now) and Meruem were supposed to be twins and could have been equally tiered if Meruem had more loving of his own mother! I mean I like the development that he got over the course of the arc but he sure was a monster at the beginning. I'm not exactly a biologist/expert on chimera ants but I would think that current Kite is somewhere around 8-A to Meruem's tier because she was meant to be around equal to Meruem but ended up being born pre-maturely. But I could be wrong, it may also be good to tier chimera ant kite at unknown.

Note Netero himself is not becoming lightspeed, but only the technique is known as Zero Hand is lightspeed.

Breakdown Time.

When viewing Netero's Zero Hand I can't help but noticed that Guanyin Bodhisattva opening its mouth to draw in the entirety of Netero's aura only to transfer the aura into light. It is seen in the manga and the anime that Netero's En is indeed being transformed into light.

Now for my argument on why the technique is not only light but being fired at light speed is because of phenomenon known as blueshifting. (Resources blueshifting and blueshifting).

Blueshifting occurs when objects approach eachother at highspeeds compressing the lightwaves coming off them.

Head picture blue

It is exactly like how the Doppler Effect causes engines to sound high pitch as they move closer except with light.

Doppler effect

We see light as short wavelengths as blue while light with longer wavelenghts as red. So effeciently fast objects have a blue tinge from the front while conversely from the back they apppear to be red.

Observer

Blueshift

After explaining blueshift let's transfer over to Hunter x Hunter episode 126. (Here is the youtube link just for the technique Zero Hand) I made a liberty of making a gif to help prove my point in this matter.

Zero only gif

If you look closely at either the video or the gif presented. When Guanyin Bodhisattva open its mouth it is drawing in all of Netero's En only to transform it into light. If you pay attention closely to the lines of En. You may noticed a particular color spectrum. This color spectrum of the En shows the same color spectrum as the blueshift which goes from red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple.

The en

The en 2

Overall when you watch the video or gif for the Netero's En color to shift this drastically it would indeed have to be approaching the speed of light, therefore the ending result is the white blast of light being shot out from Guanyin Bodhisattva mouth at the speed of light.

In final if this is accepted from due to the blueshift demonstrated by Netero's Zero Hand. I believe someowhere in the Zero Hand description box it should be noted that "the technique is being fired at lightspeed".

About low 7-C Pouf. I'm not saying I'm against this, but what justifies is should be looked at more carefully. Now that clone of Pouf's was about .1% of his full self, maybe even less, and Pouf just previously let Meruem literally eat him out which gave sacrificed 95% of his original body to Meruem (and gave us an ****** scene that would give hentai a run for its money https://youtu.be/RGL66_4gMjo). This means that Pouf can only make clones that are far weaker than normal resulting in the <.1% clone, this unfortunately makes the clone vulnerable to 8-A Kanmaru (Killua's Migatte no Gokui). Know scaling Pouf through looking at his Nen abilities would be ranked the weakest of the Royal Guards because we've never seen him physically fight, and his en is not as menacing as it was for Knov (who would make an excellent shinobi by the way) is no match for Pitou's. I think of him as more of a mage than a brawler, you could compare him to Harlequin and Merlin from Nanatsu no Taizai. The three of them mostly don't physically fight (Harlequin especially for being puny 9-B) but rely on spells/spell-like abilities to work for them. Although I could be wrong, but I've given some good reasoning to at least look at for Pouf's tier.

Well, I suppose that Netero's attack being shot at lightspeed would be less unreasonable than himself moving that swiftly, but I am not the best suited to evaluate this.

Considering aura can be transmuted into lightning, become chains or possess the properties of rubber and gum; I don't see a problem with Netero's Nen in his final attack either literally becoming light, or having the properties of light.

I think Lightspeed for the Zero Hand alone makes sense. Nobody else would scale to it of course.

I personally do not mind, but would prefer more staff input.

Ok, I guess we shall wait for more staff input.

Also, Hagane no Saiyaji thank you! In regard to your statement for Kite's tier to possibly be 7-C for her Chimera Ant form. I mean if we are looking at Palm Siberia as an example. Originally before she had her transformation she wasn't touching Killua prior to Chimera Ant invasion, but when she when through the transformation. She was able to damage Killua. Killua even admitted that "in terms of raw offense power, she has him beat, probably." However, this statement was purely Killua being modest because during their actual first fight. Killua was the defense the entire time and wasn't sincere in defeating Palm at all, but mostly helping her gain back her memories of becoming Palm.

So, jumping back to Kite it isn't too far to assume his Chimera Ant form isn't 7-C. The only problem is if used in Vsbattle matchups. Its pure speculation to assume the capabilities of his Nen Crazy Slots due to the fact Kite has yet used it after transforming into Chimera Ant.

WAIT A MINUTE!! That would make Pouf FTL too because while Meruem was flying back to the castle, POUF WAS SENDING CLONES TO DO THINGS TO MAKE SURE MERUEM DID NOT KNOW ABOUT KOMUGI!!!

Agree with light speed Zero Hand for Netero. Ftl Meruem needs a separate CRT I think. At the very least it can be decided later.

On the topic of 7-C Human Kite, normally I'd say to disregard it since it happened off screen and the dude got absolutely merc'd, but if Zeno's sole reason for being possibly 7-C is that Pitou was excited to fight him, then I'd say Kite is more than qualified as well.

Exactly. If anything he has more supporting evidence than Zeno, which still admittedly isn't saying much. But regardless, in case it wasn't clear, I agree with Kite being possibly 7-C.

If Meruem can hurt someone who can hurt him, maybe he can scale to that.

I'm more of saying that human Kite is around 8-A to low 7-C, but I think Chimera Ant Kite might be stronger due to my statement a couple of comments above.

>Hurting meruem.

He written out from an outright asspull mostly because he almost had about no way he could have defeated or been harmed by anything bar ssj50 gon.

About the blueshifting: When something blueshifts, it doesn't change from red to orange to yellow to green to blue, it just moves closer along that cycle to blue.

Additionally, for something to blueshift, it has to be moving towards the observer, if it were moving away like the nen we see when zero hand charges it would be red shifting since the wavelength would be extending (this is shown in the diagrams Mr. Common Sense showed earlier). However we don't see the color shifting along the spectrum towards red, but in the opposite direction, so the nen can't be blue or red shifting.

Also, light itself can't blue or red shift while moving because light isn't reflecting itself, it only does so when the observer or the reflective object is moving at near (but below) light speeds, so even if it was blue or red shifting the nen would only be approaching light speed, not reaching it.

@Blahblah9755

So what do you suggest in terms of attack speed?

@All

I do not have the best sense of judgement regarding clearing these types of massive upgrades, so it is best if you ask a few other administrators for input as well.

I think it should be treated however it was before the light speed suggestion. I don't know whether that would be the same as Netero's other attacks or higher, but I don't think the change in colors gives any indication of a higher speed.

Okay. I suppose that we should scrap that suggestion then.

Is there anything else left to discuss here?

Well rip light speed.

@Ant I think just deciding who should scale to 7-C Kite, and whether or not that's accepted in the first place.

I did also bring up possible Regenerationn for Meruem earlier that I don't think needs it's own CRT.

Okay. How high Regenerationn has Meruem demonstrated?
