Oh, christ. I leave for fifteen minutes and it all goes to shit.

Surely any of you can see why having a page called "Porno Diane" is a bad idea on the same wiki that has Barney the Dinosaur, Wordgirl, and Clifford the Big Red Dog. And yes, Agnaa. Won't someone think of the children? With how high VSBW is in SEO, a kid could easily stumble upon this. I can definitely see a little kid finding this, searching for Porygon or Porky the Pig, and having this show up instead. In fact, if you type "Por", it's the fourth result. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. If COPPA was instated right now, Wikia likely would be given a very hefty fine, given that most of our popular pages are animated cartoons and comics aimed at, you guessed it, children.

Anyways, I found this after doing a little research. I know this won't stop any of you, hell, it will probably encourage some of you to keep the page up. But I want you all to realize that VSBW is becoming a laughingstock outside of this website for stunts like this. I'd like to note that to prevent any of you to taking anything I've posted here out of context again, I don't really give a damn about anything else on the DA rant besides the fact that other people outside this site have taken an interest in "Porno Diane."

At the end of the day, it's one page in a sea of hundreds of thousands. It's not appropriate, and frankly, I don't see why it should be kept outside of "Well, Bastard as a whole isn't literal hentai, so it's only a 3 and therefore fine." No, "It's been here since 2015" isn't an answer. Does that imply that if this was made in 2019, it would be taken down post haste? That's what it sounds like. The creation date of the page is irrelevant.

It's not because of boobs, or succubi, or demons, or whatever the hell you guys were trying to do there. It's the fact that sexually explicit imagery, combined with a page named "Porno Diane", is not a good combo. Have some self-awareness, guys.

We have decided that we allow relatively sexual verses. We've had threads about this, and we made a page for you to read about it Acceptable content rating scale. This site is intended for people of age thirteen years and older (and I'm pretty sure there's disclaimers about that, both by Fandom and by us), who won't have a heart attack if they see the word "Porno" in a name.

Hell, there's other fandom wikis with pictures of characters, including a monster that literally just looks like a giant green penis. Not a "close resemblance" or anything, but it's unmistakably a penis. Fandom is okay with this, and the stuff we include is not nearly that bad.

The only part about that three-year-old rant about "stunts like this" complains that we removed the Danny Sexbang profile for the name, but not Porno Diane. I don't know the situation back in 2016, but the Danny Sexbang profile was remade differently and deleted due to being based off a series of music videos with no continuity, so regardless, that criticism is moot.

Why would the main problem be the image and the name? That shouldn't be the reason for the profile to be deleted at all. That post was made three years ago, and while there a few recent comments, it doesn't matter. Also "It's not because of boobs" yet the argument is "sexually explicit imagery".

So is YouTube. They say it on their terms of service. They have a Kids app children are supposed to use instead.

Guess how many people between the ages of 5 to 11 can get on YouTube without a hitch, despite it violating the Terms of Service. Spoiler alert: It's a lot.

A disclaimer isn't going to stop kids from coming here, and you know that, Agnaa.

At the very, very least, change the picture.

Yeah, it's not because of boobs alone. It's a sex demon. There's onomatopoeias on the picture for jiggle physics. The entire character is overtly sexual. Bayonetta isn't (@WeeklyBattles), or she wouldn't be in Smash, a game rated E for Everyone. It's a false equivalence. There is a fine line between a busty character and this.

So "Kids can access it, therefore we can't have a page for a well-endowed character with 'Porno' in the name." We can't stop kids from seeing any of the gory content on this site either, all we can do is warn them.

The rules we've discussed at length and come to a consensus on disagree with you.

How many more exercises in sophistry are you going to engage in? Arguing for nerf gun profiles and pool floatie profiles, and now arguing against legitimate characters because they're called "Porno", are a succubus, and have a 'boing' sound effect next to their ****.

Considering that the administrators run this site and have the capacity to control what is seen on this wiki, yeah, it is. And it doesn't fall within the guidelines, as said in the Editing Rules. "the pages have to be kept clean, without erotic images." Look at that page again and tell me you wouldn't mind your grandmother knowing you looked at that.

Might as well remove Lucoa for constantly having absurd jiggle physics and constantly trying to seduce Shouta.
There's a thousand profiles like it. We're not going to remove every succubus with big ****, even if they have an old-fashioned barely risque word like "porno" in their name.

@Nemo I wouldn't care. That image is not erotic to the point of being disallowed on the site.

Most of us who use this site seriously are adults, we can look at an image and not instantly have our souls corrupted or whatever. Kids can find way worse stuff than what we allow here with a quick google search. Also I really wouldn't my grandma lives several states away.

Agnaa, if you're saying that image isn't erotic, I don't know what is going through your head. Please enlighten me as to how its main purpose is not to arouse people.

It looks like the character desig is meant to arouse people, but that it's just a random picture of the character. We can't just ban every character whose character design is meant to be attractive.

You're latching onto something ultimately insignificant I've said, twisting it into a question of "How far away is my grandmother?" rather than "Would I be ashamed if she was here right now?", and ignoring the rest of my points.

Also, I can name several users that are quite obviously children. In the literal sense, not the "I don't like them so I'm going to call them a kid" sense. They're quite active.

Bro we don't care if it's erotic. We are not responsible for children having no online restrictions. As long as it's not straight up ****, we're cool with it, Fandom's cool with it. If the mods wanted to change it they could've done so any time they wanted. Know why they didn't? Because they are fine with it too. Most people seem to be against the change anyway so it's likely not going to happen.

Then find a different picture if it's so "random." Or is that impossible? Since it clearly hasn't been done since 2015, has it.

I wouldn't make the picture for Asuka Langley Sohryu the part where Shinji beats off in front of her naked body in the End of Evangelion. There has to be a better choice that's less sexual.

I don't think other pictures would be better enough for it to matter.

If all you want to change is the picture, find one yourself and take it to a CRT, don't clutter up the profile deletions thread with this shit.

I've said this once, and I'll quote myself again.

"I think we really need to stress that the difference between 3 and 4 is that 4 is just straight up ****. There's no deeper content other than getting from A to B, with B being doing it outright. Devilman is nowhere close to being 4. It has themes and elements that stray away from just doing the dirty.

Like, let me make this crystal clear: Two characters having sex does not automatically mean level 4, even if you can see every disgusting detail.

3 is a story with mature themes that maybe has sex here and there that isn't the point of the material. 4 is made with the intent of making you fail NNN."

Porno comes from a level 2-3 verse. If she was a level 4 all by herself, she would make the entire verse level 4. But she isn't. She stays.

Edit: Ignore the context for Devilman, I was talking about something else at the time. But my point still stands.

After doing a search, that is currently the only acceptable image. Even the Bastard wiki uses the exact same photo.

If we were to delete every verse with an explicit sex scene, titles like Berserk or Tokyo Ghoul would have to meet the same fate.

Do I need to tell someone that Berserk isn't made just for sex? If a franchise uses these scenes I don't think it should be disqualified, even if the lewdness is too high. We simply pick the best pictures to use and call it a day.

I agree with the others. A crude name and a woman in a bikini is not enough for us to ban a profile, as long as it does not originate in a level 4 setting and there is no actual nudity. That's it. End of discussion. Now please stop derailing this thread.

Also, given that Nemo has created inappropriate profiles in the past just to make a point, he needs to stop with the possible light trolling.

It does not seem warranted or necessary.

For now yeah, maybe, however Dante appears in more media aside from the profiles that we have here, so I think it needs a discussion in a separate thread

We should almost exclusively use composite profiles for characters with unclear continuity and no coherent canon. It would set a bad precedent, with lots of demands for composite profiles for other popular characters. I would much rather avoid that problem.

I agree that Dante should not be a composite, for Ant's reasoning.

Thank you.

Yeah gotta agree, Further Dante has a few guest appearances and crossovers but he doesn't have nearly enough alternate appearances to denote the need for a composite profile. He's not like godzilla where there are fifty versions of the character. Thus making a composite just seems pointless. At least in my opinion.

Thanks. It is probably best if we simply decide to not allow a composite profile and drop this discussion, in order to avoid derailing this thread too much.

Okay. Thanks.

I disagree.

Devilman has a clear cut canon (The original Devilman manga) and as even less versions on the wiki than Dante (He has two profiles) yet he has a composite profile.

This discussion belongs in its own thread.

But regardless, the Composite Dante profile didn't have staff approval before it was created, which is mandatory, according to the Alternative Canon and Composite Profiles page. And so, it should stay deleted until permission is granted (through its own thread).

Thank you for helping out.
