in yoshi island series poochy is capable of not only keeping up with yoshi but in cases surpasing him if yoshi got to far ahead in levels such as; Visit Koopa And Para-Koopa, Jungle Rhythm..., Don't Fear the Spear, Spiky Stroll, Knot-Wing the Koopa's Aqua Fort, and Wonderful World of Wool.
