One-Punch Man General AP upgrade v3

Slightly off topic but the funny thing is that if you multiplied each successive armor set by 2x his latest webcomic armor would legitimately be 7-B

This is obviously Puuuuuuuuuurely speculative with very little basis since we're never given any concrete numbers onto how much more powerful each successive armor set is or whether or not every set of armor even acts as a boost in power to begin with, rather than just replacement parts or simple increases in efficiancy. But its interesting to see how powerful Genos would be at this point if he was actually gaining such boosts in power.

Anyway back on topic,Qawsedf234 do you think Hammerhead should be placed in the "At least 8-A, likely 7-C" camp?

Hammerhead? No. His AP is scaled to his subortiants. Although I get having his durability be that high since the suit blocked one of Sonic's sword slashes.

I guess that makes sense, tho I would presume his AP would be in the higher end of 8-A given its a more powerful variant of the ones his subordinates have.

>At least 7-A Flashy Flash?

Based on what? He's not one of the physically strongest S-Classes. He didn't do shit against Garou nor did he ever fight any of the strongest Executives.

Well Flashy Flash without a weapon was stated to be able to defeat Peak Half-Monster Garou.

Peak Half-Monster Garou overpowered Darkshine and can perform the Cross Fang Dragon Slayer Fist which required both Bang and Bomb to perform.

Bang one shot transformed Fuhrer Ugly which should be stronger than his base form which is around baseline 7-A.

Scaling from a City level+ calc by the looks of it. Flashy Flash is the 3rd strongest S Class hero, but I wouldn't call him that much stronger than Darkshine or Bang. But still stronger than them for sure.

Personally I still think Bang and those that scale above him should get an at least for casually one shotting people somewhat above baseline. But I think that's just me. Qawsedf234 thinks only the absolute strongest characters that scales far above even the strongest dragon lvl threats should get the At least.

I can concede that Flashes ludicrous speed and swordsmanship would make him a far greater threat than his AP would allow. Granted in real life speed essentially is AP but obviously that's barely applicable here.

I think putting its safest to put him in the 7-A corner for now.

IRL, AP comes from a combination of speed and mass; but we don't really use that here unless there's concrete proof and is the main reason Calc Stacking is a concept.

What about possibly 7-A for his weapons? He is definetly weaker than Bang,Bomb and Darkshine though. His speed what makes him powerful.

I'm pretty sure Flashy Flash is still above Atomic Samurai.

@Superman 9 megatons is relatively low end City level, you wouldn't get so much upscaling out of it

Atomic Samurai is probably an even better example of speed compensating for relatively low AP (compared to the rest of the higher S-Class members) I don't think Flashy being stronger than him means a tremendous much

I completely disagree with Snowman's calculation, not only that this thing doesn't have legs, but the shape of its body is completely different from that of a human, this is like scaling the speed of a 1 kilometer ball to that of a human, it just doesn't make any sense.

Also, we can see Snowman moving extremely slowly in the One-Punch Man Opening, so I recommend you use that scene to calculate its speed, because at least it would make more sense than having a ball that can run at 4 kilometers per second without legs.

Hmm, I guess those are good points. Plus I think it was agreed that assuming body slams was iffy.

@Therefir, I think Therefir made good points about why the calculation could be wrong. So, based on these points, I think the Snowman's calculation being possibly wrong invalidate the scaling at 7-B+ and higher.

I don't think using a Opening for getting speed would work either
I see your point since sometimes openings can be wrong with information, @Andytrenom. A recalculation without legs might be a better.

So what are the conclusions here?

I think the discussion is still ongoing but it looks since the second calculation is likely from @Therefir's reasoning which would invalidate the scaling at 7-B+and higher.

I believed some of the proposed rating at High 7-C and lower were still being discussed like Child Emperor's and those scaling from him.

That doesn't even look like the same monster. It looks completely different.

Well, since there are several other staff members already taking care of this discussion, I will unsubscribe to this thread then.

If the 7-B is rejected, the 8-A to High 7-C should still be applied.
