Anyway, I completely disagree with the idea that Kizaru’s light is not true light or that it doesn't move at lightspeed, considering everything shown or stated in the series or even outside from databooks/guidebooks.

I'm agree with KingTempestOn top of that, regarding "not being photonic", the lasers are blatantly comprised of electromagnetic energy, which is lightspeed by default.
And all the statements of Kizaru's blatant lightspeed really smack this. It doesn't matter the criteria if it's stated to be lightspeed. If it's stated to be lightspeed, it can be full of mass, it can be cold, it could be a brick wall, but if it's stated to be lightspeed then it immediately works.
You. Stop. Now.Yeah no, yall are not refuting the OP at all I'm genuinely flabbergasted at this performance from OP fans. Eh, it is typical though, iirc. HST fans cannot debate and resort to insults, which should be handled.
Yes, he has been repeatedly stated to move at the speed of light (yet we have him a FTL)...Hasn't Kizaru been stated to be lightspeed multiple times, including by Oda himself?
SonicYes, he has been repeatedly stated to move at the speed of light (yet we have him a FTL)...
There's a lot more, but I have limited resources at the moment. I'll send more when I have access to my laptopWhile I'm here. Can I be given a list of statements supporting FTL? I suppose it shall fall to me to evaluate, despite my HST embargo.
The OP's arguments are very suspect; they start off by outlining that they want to have the most effect on the verse by debunking Kizaru's speed specifically.Another point is with kizaru, since hes basically the pinnacle of light attacks in op debunking his light should have the most effect, in this panel kizaru says hes accelerating while in his light movement form, not only does light not accelerate but it cannot because it is massless, as light the moment it comes into existence is traveling at the sol.
There hasn't been anything contradicting anythingThe massive array of information contradicting your "points"
They literally said their reason wdym
This would be something you could say if the only evidence was character statements.
The 6+ statements @Kachon123 sent? There hasn't been anything contradicting anything
Did u not even read the op?And even if it doesn't, his counter to the actual statements of lightspeed is that it's fallacious to accept them as true based on... nothing at all?
Did you not read every reply after?Did u not even read the op?
I haven't seen any yet, just got onThe 6+ statements @Kachon123 sent?
Yeah not photonic lightThe OP's arguments are very suspect; they start off by outlining that they want to have the most effect on the verse by debunking Kizaru's speed specifically.
But even ignoring their motivations, their argument doesn't hold up. Light in fiction can absolutely accelerate and be FTL if the writer decides it does.
... Yee and I'm Oda, now whatYeah not photonic light
Pretty case-closed to me.Alright let's go through it then
First of all, the logic of the lasers is not just because it's photonic. It's because it's lasers made to mimic the lasers of someone else who fulfill qualities of lightspeed lasers and they (the other individual) also have statements of being lightspeed.
The lasers are made out of the same material as Kizaru, who is stated to be lightspeed. He generates lightspeed lasers and moves at lightspeed due to the nature of his fruit and the many statements of it from the manga, Databook Blue Deep, The Vivre Cards, and Oda himself about Kizaru. With all of this, all of his light techniques with velocity move at a set speed, the speed of light.
Kizaru has this. The lasers were modeled directly off of Kizaru based on studying Kizaru and the science behind his beams. Understanding concepts such as electromagnetic radiation and diving so deep into the concepts of photons to where he produced tools able to make physical contact with holograms.
Second of all, your entire argument is based off of a fallacious hyperscientific argument regarding lasers burning everything in the air. We don't do that much work. Lasers are allowed to explode on this wiki based on certain criteria and we have followed that criteria to a T.
I'll bold everything that the lasers from Kizaru, the Pacifista, Franky, Queen, etc. share.
The beams behave in a reasonably realistic way. It's stated to move at the speed of light.
So shame on those who agreed to this headache of a thread for no reason, especially Captain "are we serious?" the ex calc mod who doesn't know the basic calc rules
To add to this, if a verse states something is lightspeed, it is lightspeed, flat out. End of story, goodbye, the end.Alright let's go through it then

Doesn't matter. It fits with our standards (Particularly the part about it being stated to be light speed which on its own is more than enough and nothing else matters), so it stays. Full stop.Yeah not photonic light
Not precisely case closed, since it's a frequently invoked term for flowery language and hyperbole. Still, I agree that in this case, it seems more likely to be true than not (although I don't think the body of evidence in that Imgur dump is necessarily airtight, I think it stands up to the scrutiny of the OP).To add to this, if a verse states something is lightspeed, it is lightspeed, flat out. End of story, goodbye, the end.
When a speed statement is made, nothing else can possibly disqualify it aside from actual legitimate anti-feats (And even then those are not for the actual speed statements in question but moreso for other unrelated feats). None of this "This doesn't burn air" nonsense flies the moment you have an actual speed statement. Fiction is fiction, it can do whatever the hell it wants and we have to come to terms with it. I am sorry but that's how it is.
Disagree with OP, they seem to be arguing from incredulity.
