Deltarune Speed Downgrate CRT

In my own words i said nothing indicates this fight is occurring in cinematic time.
Nothing in fiction ever indicates when something happens in cinematic time.
apper light turns either red or blue after bouncing off a green surface.
How are these contradictions LOL
If it was real life, it'd turn green because green things reflect green light and absorb all other colors. I consider this a drastic enough contradiction given the stakes at play (FTL speed)
...are you seriously saying that any light beam that's not green is not SoL?

The difference is that it moves slower than real light with no indication that we are seeing things slowed down, no cool slowmo sound effect or anything.
This is basically invincible ignorance and circular reasoning because we already addressed this with the fact that we see things from their POV not the POV of a normal human

if you think these characters should be restricted to human level perceptions then explain why since you're argument basically presupposes this

In most cases you can prove cinematic time is occuring, i've been over this

I'm saying that if this behaved like real light, thus could be assumed to be as fast as real light, then it would also act like real light in that it wouldn't change to the color red after bouncing off something green, because that is literally the opposite of how actual light works, and that's enough for me to say we can't be sure it moves as fast as actual light.

Batman is stated to be a normal human who trained good, as are his Rogues gallery for the most part, they cannot be anything above 9-C and Peak human!

Nothing but the zapper fight (under the assumption that its FTL) requires super slowed down cinematic time, so it's silly to assume the entire game is actually slowed down because of this one fight when the more logical explanation is that these are just magic lasers that dont move as fast as real life lasers

No this is just an element of fiction and claiming this alone makes it not light speed would just be an appeal to reality

Buddy you know what refraction is right?

Batman is stated to be a normal human who trained good, as are his Rogues gallery for the most part, they cannot be anything above 9-C and Peak human!
This is literally an argument in my favor "The infared beams are stated to be infared beams so they cannot be anything but that! (Despite the fact they don't actually act like infared beams and are magic like literally all the attacks in this franchise)"

So the characters reacting to sound and electricity...dosen't require above human level perceptions/some form of cinematic time to quantify?

do you know how fast these things are?

You are making up your own rule of cinematic time requiring to be "made clear" by stuff like sound effects when that was never a thing, do we have to downgrade Dragon Ball or other shonens because their fights almost never happen as blitzes to the viewer? Do we have to downgrade Jojo from MFTL because these stands clearly don't do a billion things besides throwing some punches in 5-10 seconds of time stop?
I'm saying that if this behaved like real light
But it literally does...?

You don't understand man! Normal humans can't be above 9-C, it doesn't matter how many times Batman has been blown up, thrown through walls, or done other Superhuman feats! He's a normal human!

You know what ELSE is an element of fiction?
THE FACT THE LASERS AREN'T MOVING AT LIGHT SPEED.
except unlike it changing color (which is actually proven) the lasers not moving at light speed ISN'T proven
Green objects reflect green light.
no...not even close

refraction by definition is the bending of light between various mediums hence why you can see colors

Those shonens explicitly state things are going FTL and show distances traveled that require FTL travel so it's actually reasonable to assume they use cinematic time. I've made this pretty clear.
But it literally does...?
Real light is the color of the things it bounces off of. Real light can't be dodged by teenagers. Real light doesn't get bigger because you turned up the sound. To have all these non-real behaviors and then assume it still must move at light speed is laughable.

Bouncing off a green wall won't turn a light red or blue, it'll turn it green, then that green light will be absorbed by your eyes, that's why you can see green. If a green wall reflects red light, then its not green, its red.

They're not "Inferred beams" and they don't have to be that specifically to be light speed. They're LED EMR waves generated from television remotes; and they CAN change color to any color from the RGB model. Light is a subcategory of EMR Waves, not the other way around. And EMR Waves do travel at the speed of light. Scientifically even the term "Speed of light" is misleading as it really should be broadened as "Speed of EMR Waves". If anything, the color example only further proves its real EMR Waves.

And all of you other arguments are basically the equivalent of Matpat's "Sonic is not even Mach 1" levels of speed video.

Arguing that speed feats don't count because they're not constantly blurred to the audience is nonsensical. I do not know why we're 3 pages deep in such a discussion.
Can we just close this, we have 3 staff now with DDM disagreeing and this is not going anywhere.

The same Teenagers who blitz sound, by the way.

But most of the time they have teens so lol????

Where does it say that? Because Occam's Razor says that as long as stuff isn't a massive contradiction
They're stated to be faster than sound. Not faster than light. My argument is literally "Don't assume that the zapper light is as fast as real light because it's different enough from real light to throw that into question and it's not a reliable source."

"It doesn't matter that the light doesn't act like normal light! It's normal light!!!"

Bouncing off a green wall won't turn a light red or blue, it'll turn it green,
because the wall reflects the light at a specific wavelength to where it appears green
then that green light will be absorbed by your eyes, that's why you can see green.
Your eyes will regester that amount of light in accordance with the object the light itself is not green or any specific color

color as a whole is just a reaction to light
If a green wall reflects red light, then its not green, its red.
no because light in it of itself is not relegated to a specific color

Light is faster than sound; a lot faster. But that's just a neutral statement that neither proves nor disproves being faster than light. Everything else is also far too blatant. Plus, given we have 3 Admins or higher disagreeing with this and the entire thread has been nothing but pure knit picking and rather than actual rebuttals. It does seem due for thread closure.
