Gear 2nd being barely a 2x difference to his base is quite wierd since people who could easily match his base got absolute blitzed by Gear 2nd's speed

So that'd be reaction speed. Not his other speed statistics.

Reaction speed is the speed at which a character can react to an event or action. This usually only grants a short movement upon reaction, whereas several movements at the same speed switch it to combat speed.

I know. If blocking an attack or covering from an attack is short movement then ALOT of verses needs change

Yee, might need some changing with it because reaction speed has nothing to do with body movement… the body movement is just the easiest way to know when someone reacts

Why would it? Magellan doesn't need to raise his arm at the same speed that the Hell Wink travels through the air in order to block it.

Also doflamingo's old justification is weird
Speed: At least A-9 (Even when weakened by Law's Gamma Knife and Countershock, he could still move FTE to Gear 2nd Luffy to dodge his Eagle Bazooka[57]), possibly A-10 (Tagged Jozu, and should not be far slower than Kuzan, as he was capable of coming within an inch of killing Smoker before Aokiji stopped him with his freezing powers from close range, and was very confident that he would succeed)

Doffy got absolutely blitzed by Aokiji's Ice...

Or we could give a far higher with Aokiji's devil fruit

I don't think that the "Possibly A-10" rating there is necessary for Doflamingo.

Either way you look at it, he still moved slower than Aokiji's attack even if he was "confident he could succeed".

Wait, does that means that we can discuss about my calc here? Damage say that it had an issue but he didn't go in specifics.

Or that its something that should be addressed in another thread?
