When you think about it some DF's could get you a amazing life irl if use creatily like that cover story where Wapol used his to create a successful toy company
 
But what will her job be on the StrawHat; I love Carrot and defintely want her to join the crew as a powerful female fighter but what will her job be on the ship besides being a powerful fighter?

Ex. Zoro the First Mate (well unofficially), Nami the Navigator, Usopp the Sniper/Marksman, Sanji the Cook etc...
 
Zoro's position isn't First Mate. He's a warrior just as Lucky Roo on Shanks's crew.

I don't know what its name is but the guy who looks over the ship from the mast (in spanish we use that place's name in a way to tell a person to gtfo). Scout, I think it's the closest thing. I'm not sure.
 
Zoro may as well be the first mate, I think one of the databooks even likened him to the "vice-captain". That's not even mentioning both Bartolomeo and Urouge have refered to him as Luffy's right hand.

As for Carrot-chan's job she can be the official Look-Out.

If anyone on the crew doesn't have a job beyond fighting it's Usopp. Which is ironic because he isn't even one of the crew's main fighters. Maybe he's a Second Mate?

Tbf pre-ts most people he fought weren't really a threat anyways. When they were he wouldn't really goof around.

I like to think he just expected Crocodile to be just some guy with a tricky devil fruit considerring that's the worst he's had to go up against so he didn't take him 100% seriously until he realized that wasn't the case.
 
He goofed around during the second match even knowing that Croco isn't the average DF user. Third round was an all-out with no plays nor jokes.
 
The way I see it is 1st round he was so used to being the biggest fish in the pond that he underestimated Croco big time.

2nd round he knew Croco's devil fruit weakness and thought that was all he needed, he was beaten and humbled.

3rd round the kiddie gloves are off and he's completely serious.
 
That's right. But that doesn't mean Luffy isn't serious when he fight. Look at Gomu Gomu Boh.

People who make him really angry earns the capacity to make him fight with no jokes.
 
There are a lot of cover stories that I like, hard to pick one of the bunch but if I have to pick just one it would be the Strawhat Separation Serial; https://imgur.com/a/7vJCE

It was heartbreaking to watch the Strawhat get separated the first time. It was nice to see what happen to the Straw hats while Luffy was invading Impel Down/Marineford.

If I can request a cover story to Goda it would be "Whats going on in Robin's Head" cause that's all sorts of ****** up ***** I really want to see.

EDIT: I love how Oda incorporate stories like these into cover for each chapter so we can know what happen to other characters that aren't the Strawhats after the arc they were introduced is over. It make the story feel more alive and lively as of result. Other authors should take note.
 
Yeah that's a really good one I remember when the anime made episodes based off some of them

Personally I think I like Miss Goldenweeks the most so far, I found it really interesting to see Baroque works after Crocodiles defeat

Gedatsu's was pretty fun to see Alabasta get a hot spring resort

Edit: knowing how Oda never forgets anything and Cover Stories tend to foreshadow future events in One Piece it's a distinct possibility
 
I can buy that Oda planned on Ace being Roger's son since at least the start of the Summit War saga, but I have a hard time believing it was planned from the very start. Ace and Luffy look too similar for me to believe they weren't originally supposed to be related by blood.

That being said... I AM HYPED AS ****!!!!
