FTL OP would be staying regardless. There's too many showing that put them at level for them to be dismissed.
Plus like…If Kizaru’s attack was only light speed Luffy would have had no trouble avoiding it with even his basic observation haki. Just like he explicitly did after the time skip.

If he only use light beam/ kick then his Attack is LS those two attacks have So statment, but if He use other attack we can argue it to be FTL.

I was also thinking that
if kizaru was limited to ls travel then it wouldn't matter how much distance he made since the acceleration should hypothetically stay the same.

Yes if the Acceleration stay at the same value without adding some weight, his kicking strenght would have same Kinetic energy, that's why he boost the speed so his kick have more power.
