OK, this is weird, but we must change Madeline's gender to male.

Sounds weird, to make a thread about changing gender, however, the fact still remains. Since Celeste creator confrimed Madeline is transgender( https://www.nme.com/news/gaming-news/celeste-confirmed-transgender-creator-2811023 ), I think logical turn would be to change her gender in profile to male. This is little, but I think someone, sometime would notice this if not me.

Agree here, since he doesn't stated fully about her transgender being, especially since he more standing on "mystery of gender". But thinking how she's likely looks as female can mean that her trans being is a girl who's actually a boy. I'll say Madeline's likely male now, but it's pretty well straightforward.

Yes, we do. Considering Trans People as their birth sex and rejecting their identity would be hurtful, and offensive. Coming from a trans girl herself.

But we still need to display biology for biological based powers, without invalidating their identity. Thus I suggested the compromise of Transgender Male/Transgender Female for FtM and MtF respectively, which was accepted by Ant and is to be applied to all profiles of transgender characters.

And, yes, the suggestion that we should change Madeline's gender to male because they are trans is genuinely a rather callous statement to a lot of people. But it's for the best that the topic isn't dug up here. The change should be made to specify that they are a "Transgender Female" and that's that.
