Anyhow, forcing someone's mind to be unable to process information regardless of perceiving it sounds abolsutely like perception manipulation, but if not then claiming that Obito will be left spacing out while Ikki approaches cannot work.

Thousands were put under a genjutsu as early as the Chunin exams, and Sakura still managed to counter the genjutsu. Obito could put a Jinchuuriki/Kage until near permanent genjutsu that made him do whatever Obito wanted.

And as said, unless Obito tries to pull the sleep genjutsu that Madara did against A, Ikki isn't just ignoring it.

To be fair though, without the tailed beasts Obito would have a harder time. He'd need to see Ikki to actually use his genjutsu, so Ikki should be able to cross the distance and use Raetsu to blitz Kamui.

That assumes Ikki lands a killing blow though. Even bisecting Obito would give him a chance to resurrect.
