Ever since the revisions got accepted for PAD, I've been super excited that some of the new keys line up with Monster Strike. Time to finally have the two franchises duke it out, and why not with anime-style genderbent cultural figures?

Noah VS Merlin, Speed Equalized, Base Noah VS Videogame Merlin so both at High 4-C

"Are You Worth Saving?": 1

Twinkle Twinkle, Star Parade: 0

It CAN giver her Damage Boost potential, but I don't think there's any evidence of an Orb Changer working on anything but Orbs...

Okay, so I imagine the first move Noah is gonna pull off is to try to align some magical water orbs in the air in order to boost her own water-based attacks.

What's Merlin gonna start off with?

I don't think it is because it's mentioned in the first key but not the second...

Not 100% sure, but it seems to be from the star rain feat, so dropping stars across the battlefield.

Seconds at most for characters who are used to it.

Also, while in-character to do for most PAD characters, they don't have to use the orbs. It's only a Damage Boost, they are capable of just not bothering with them if they need to/are using skills

Ah yes so essentially like in a video game where you just decide not to use the stat amp move because you need to kill the enemy as fast as possible

Question : Are the forcefields created by heal orbs in Noah's profile turn based (Meaning it disappears after a certain amount of turns) or health based (Meaning they disappear once they lose health)

Yep, basically. If they feels it's not necessary, they won't bother.

Little of both, they're temporary and will fade, but can be broken early with enough damage.

Can Merlin possibly survive a Vast Dawn attack because the profile mentions that it deals 200x damage

Conversely, does Noah's forcefield completely shield her from harm or does it just block a portion of damage?

Yeah probably not...since Noah already has the AP advantage Vast Dawn probably destroys her. It is a projectile though, so dodgeable at least in Merlin's favor.

The forcefields block all damage until they break, no chip damage seems to get through until they totally give.

Alright then, I think I already have a conclusion. Seeing as to how Merlin's gimmick is to fly around and drop stars to the point of it resembling Danmaku, I can see Noah having a hard time time aiming Vast Dawn and once she misses, she'll probably lose since all the orbs are now water.

Even if she doesn't use Vast Dawn, she'll probably be chipped down due to her shield needing to be charged up. As such, my vote goes to Merlin for this one

To be fair, that is a lot of chipping required, Noah has a > 3.4x AP and Durability advantage, so Merlin needs to hit her a lot in that second case.

And Noah's projectiles are faster than Merlin's because Speed Equal rules are dumb...

Wait okay, I think I'll switch my vote for now, I forgot about the AP part

Okay now that I know that, I think I can now see Noah winning. As long as she doesn't use Vast Dawn, she can probably outlast Merlin even is she gets hit repeatedly due to her shield.

Noah's intelligence is hard to pin down, but compared to other gods, she likely should know her signature attack is risky. Can't rule out that she'll use it, but she'll likely be smart enough to know a miss is bad news.

Switching the vote to Noah...and dreading that the new CRT might make this fight invalid...yaaaaay...

Feel free, just be careful. I haven't been bumpping myself since we're working on an AP CRT right now for PAD, it might invalidate this fight...
