Ichigo takes advantage in CQC due to his AP and Nightmare, correct me if Im wrong, doesn't have any non conventional means to put him down
 
So, th, not sure the Verse Equalization goes on, so can Nightmare see Ichigo right? Anyway, how does Ichigo insta-kill works? and what does he have to be protected against corruption?

Dunno much of Nightmare, but how can he take Ichigo's soul? In Bleach, humans with even above average lvl of reiatsu could survive soul suck from the likes of an Espada, and Ichigo's reiatsu is Captain lvl in this form. Not to mention that all the fight in Bleach are using soul lvl attacks.

Also, I don't think Zangetsu would find it funny for Nightmare to try and corrupt Ichigo in taking Soul Edge.
 
It all depends on potency. Nightmare is able to steal the souls of entire armies at once.

Zangetsu very much so can get corrupted as well. Nightmare's power can corrupt souls as well. Zangetsu is not exactly safe here either. Not to mention Astral Chaos.
 
This is everything Nightmare has.

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Soul Manipulation (Can rob the souls of entire armies at once. Deals Soul Damage with each of attacks, stealing the soul of his opponent slowly during combat), Fire Manipulation, Hellfire Manipulation, Mind Manipulation (Can manipulate the minds of others in order to coerce them into taking Soul Edge. If there is a malfested target, Soul Edge feeds off of their sinful actions of bloodlust and gains the ability to control them), Weapon Mastery, Electricity Manipulation, Creation(Created a mimic of Soul Edge as well as Astral Chaos), Dark Magic, Regenerationn (Low), Immortality (Types 1 and 6), Teleportation, Dimensional BFR (Can send others to Astral Chaos. All Souls taken by Soul Edge are sent to Astral Chaos. Astral Chaos warps and corrupts all who enter, mind, body and soul, eventually driving them mad and turning them into a form of Malfested), Duplication, Light Manipulation, Possession, Reality Warping, Spatial Manipulation (Can cut through dimensions), Necromancy, Madness Manipulation (Type 3. Simply being in contact with its power is enough to drive one into madness. Can corrupt entire areas making it so that anyone who enters the area will be driven mad), Illusion Creation, Curse Manipulation, Corruption (Can turn those who come into contact with it into mindless Monsters, Vampires, Malfested, etc. Even sustaining injuries from him or any wielder of Soul Edge is enough to drive one insane as shown with Raphael whose body became corrupted by his wounds. Coming into contact with a malfested's blood can in fact infect another as shown when Amy became malfested by treating Raphael's wounds), When the host body is defeated, Inferno will appear to fight the opponent or use his mental powers to get them to grab the sword, Resistance to Sealing(Taki's seals had no effect on him)
 
When you say he corrupted souls, do you mean he corrupted undeads and ghosts? Because, if that's case it's arguable whether it's applicable to the souls of swords/objects, for example Elysium/Soul Calibur was never affected, right?

About the madness, is it always instantaneous? Does it affect people differently? Does it depend on willpower and the dark emotion (hatred, greed) of the person (Algol = power hungry conqueror=>unaffected but his jealous son turned mad). Ichigo, in Soul Society arc, was also taken over by the Hollow inside him during a battle but was able to quickly take the control back, so his willpower is not half bad.
 
Yes. Elysium is literally made to counter Soul Edge. Soul Calibur has half of Algol's Soul (Algol was the only character in the franchise to be immune to Soul Edge's Possession and could wield Soul Edge with no issues). Plus, Astral Chaos is literally her home as well.

The madness if you can't resist is quite instantaneous. For example, the moment the Evil Seed infected the Leng-Shen Su temple, not only the monks, but all the inhabitants were instantly driven mad and started killing each other. This included Kilik. It's simply Type 3 Madness Inducement. It turns you into a malfested basically. You don't need Dark Emotions are a certain level of willpower to be affected. Kilik has immense willpower, but without Dvapara-Yuga he would have been driven insane simply by walking in Ostrheinsburg. Same for Siegfried, but it took Raphael injuring Soul Edge for Siegfried to break free. At most, the mental struggle keeps Nightmare from moving.
 
Yes as this the same being who robs people's souls as a past time and can actually go around Astral Chaos and attack souls.
 
Never actually needed to put it there and was never a priority. It's the same for Digimon and such.
 
That actually makes no sense, but I'll take your word for it.

As for Ichigos resistance to soul manipulation,I guess he scales to Tatsuki who pretty much has the bear minimum needed to see souls and she resisted Yammy's Gonzui a city wide soul sucking technique.And Ichigo has the reiatsu equivalent to a Captain.

It does. That means that it wasn't an ability that was ever brought up and as such when we started fixing the old profiles, it never got added.

So he's safe for soul based moves. How about Madness based ones?
 
Madness manipulation, I don't think he has ever encountered that.I don't even think that exist in Bleach funny enough.

How does it work? Is it like mind manipulation or something he has to physically hit Ichigo with?

Mind manip is enough to screw Ichigo.

I feel Nightmare has too many options to win compared to strawberry. He low diffs.
 
If you can find a clip of the character outrunning an explosion (don't remember who) that should be above Supersonic+ by a good margin
 
No, the Soul Calibur cast. They have all this cool stuff....but are still only Supersonic+....

You're thinking of Taki. But her explosions are magical. So I don't know if they count.

Yeah, I known how does that feels... don't like when AP do not "fit" with other stats.
 
Depends on how much weaker you need to be to be soul crushed. Nightmare isn't that much weaker. Not even 2x.
