Oh yes.

All In Your Head vs All In Your Everywhere

Both diseases start at opposite ends of America. Neurax Worm is "aware" of another disease but doesn't know anything about it. Neurax Worm starts unevolved but can evolve. Whoever completely eradicate the opposing disease wins.

Neurax Worm's best bet is to bring all the researchers together to work on it, but even that'd prove futile against the insanity that would be a Composite Virus.

also i say neurax worm, neither can exactly uhh, harm eachother in the physical sense, whilst Neurax Worm can just get to a military commander and launch a nuke in its general area. or just yknow bomb the entire US.

Nevermind, Inconclusive, this is just a CS:GO arms race, whoever infects the world the fastest will win, If the Neurax worm wins, the Virus will not infect anybody because viruses want clean and uninfected hosts, not hosts that are most likely going to be goners or already infected. Its the reason we arent wiped out from existence by viral plagues, somewhere, there's a good amount of people with a virus in them already, and the current virus threatening the human race does not want to infect them because they are already infected by a virus.

But if the virus gets there first, im not sure what happens.

I mean, it's COMPOSITE virus. Chances are the Worm itself may get the virus, given that even Bacteria can be infected.

Don't remember, the Neurax dies if the host does? If yes, leaning towards the virus. It spreads significantly faster (being composite means that it's the "a day to infect the world" kind of faster) which means that the hosts of the neurax are likely to die before the Neurax can find a cure (which would be extremely hard given the ridiculous survivability of the virus)

still viruses do not infect already sick hosts.

Sure they do. One example off the top of my head is how people with AIDS, which is caused by HIV (a virus), then end up catching the flu (another virus) and falling seriously ill from it.

Since it's a composite of viruses, including those which infect already sick hosts, it will end up infecting everyone.

A lot of vaccinations actually work with injecting a dialed down virus into the victim. Such as a smallpox vaccine.

And because there are enough viral diseases out there that are lethal. And because all viruses and succumb to already living viruses inside the host..

Idk tho.

The reason that vaccines work by injecting a dialed down version of the virus is that it trains the body to fight it.

Lets say that you didn't know that a red light meant that a laser was about to fire where your head is. You'd train yourself to duck whenever you see a red light by flashing red lights that don't actually fire a laser at your head, or at least a laser that's only mild irritating and won't actually kill you. That way when the real deal of a red light that would kill you flashes, you'll duck in time. That same idea applies, you train your body to fight against viruses that are similar to the dialed down ones that are injected. It doesn't work because more of that virus refuses to enter your body, it works because your body now knows how to fight it.
